Programs: Shodair children's hospital provides psychiatric residential treatment services to children ages 3-18. The services are provided on three separate units based on the child's developmental age. Each unit provides a therapeutic and nurturing environment staffed with psychiatrists, psychologists, primary therapists, rns, and supporting staff. 247 children were served on these units during the fiscal year.
the acute care unit accommodates up to 20 children from ages 3 to 18. The program offers intensive services for emotionally and behaviorally impaired children and their families who are in crisis. At shodair, children and families interact with a team of specialists, including nurses, doctors, therapists, and teachers. 670 children were served in this unit during the fiscal year.
