Cynthia is a witch. She acts like a dictator and is the most rude person. She helps cancer patients to feed her own ego. This is the most selfish organization I have ever encountered.
They are a fantastic organization with wonderful programs helping people dealing with the ravaging affects of cancer look & feel good about themselves while fighting their disease.
This charity is all heart and soul! Such hard working and loving people that are so committed to helping as many people they can that are effected by cancer. Every person that helps is amazing. The kind words that are bestowed on all who walk in the door of that salon to help them get through all that cancer does is beautiful.
I had the privilege and honor to Work with these incredible woman as a mondays at Racine charter spa. Their drive and compassion to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and survivors is inspirational and a blessing to each and everyone they touch!
Monday's at Racines provides valuable services on so many levels. The staff is very warm, supportive and provide comfort to those who are battling not only physical, but emotional trauma. Everyone is so supportive! They offer the clients, coming to Racines, a much needed haven during their cancer treatment time. The complimentary services are so needed to help the clients have some "normalcy" in their daily lives. I can not thank the staff at Racines enough for all of their love, concern, compassion, and dedication in helping others. Thank you God for the founders of "Mondays at Racines", they truly make a difference in the lives of so many!
The Angels at Monday's at Racine are the most giving, caring, kind, understanding people! At a time when we cancer patients are in the midst of treatments that wear us down, alter our appearance, and give us no guarantees for a future, these women lift us up, share their strength and talents, and make us feel beautiful! No matter how exhausted I was from chemo or radiation, I ralleyed for my appointnents, and always walked out emotionally, spiritually and physically rejuvenated. Amazing volunteers, an amazing and unique place!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I thank God for the care and compassion I received from Cynthia, Rachel and all the staff at Racines. The diagnosis of cancer is emotionally wrenching but with the understanding and love they give, it makes it all more bearable. When my insurance did not cover me for a wig, Racines came to the rescue. They held me hand when my head was shaved and complimented me and massaged my scalp. That's only the beginning. I am continually spreading the good word about the services they provide, free, to cancer patients. I continue to support them in any way possible and always will. They are not just service providers, they are FRIENDS! Thank you for being there for me.
Care and comfort
Beauty is in the eyes of beholder but at racines the staff works with the whole spirit and inner beauty as well as outer beauty
Thabk you for all you do
So loving and willing to share their professionalism with everyone. What great caring people who work so hard to help others. Refreshing to know there are people like this in our crazy world we could all learn from them.................To give so much to others with no expectations
When I was going through treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma, this program was an amazing comfort! I loved every visit I was able to make and hope that these amazing ladies can continue the helping others like me in their time of need!
I traveled an hour each way, one Monday a month and not just for the massage, or Rikki, or yoga, or manicure, etc... it was for the loving environment created by the staff and the companionship of the other woman who were going thru cancer treatments too! Having survived for 15 months now, I have lived longer then 70% of the people who are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. With the support of my family, friends and organizations like Monday's at Rancines, I hope to be one of the lucky 8% who survive for 5 years. Thank-you so much!
You can not imagine the invaluable experience the Monday's program has offered to countless patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Teams of dedicated professionals and Business owners compassionately open their doors to provide complimentary services to assist in lessining the pain of cancer and provide resources to combat the internal and external effects of treatment. BLESS the founders of this fine orgnization ... Changing the face of cancer one Monday at a time.
I'm a local health care professional who encouraged patients for several years to take advantage of the wonderful services offered for cancer patients to renew, refresh and recharge at the salon. Now, as a new client and recipient of their services I can attest to their boundless comfort and compassion extended by their founders and volunteers. They truly are the sunshine to many client's cloudy days. Mondays at Racine nourishes internal and external beauty.
Mondays at Racine - where do I start? My review stems from the experience of taking my mom there while she was battling pancreatic cancer and from my volunteer work for the past 7 months. From the moment you step into the salon you know it is an extra-special place. It's not just about the free beauty and wellness services, when cancer patients have a hard time facing the public, Mondays at Racine becomes their safe haven. The harsh effects of chemotherapy & radiation are eased and it helps give them the lift they need during this difficult time. These patients are going through cancer treatment which targets their tumors, Mondays at Racine targets the entire person. They all have a natural inner beauty, but to feel beautiful on the outside and to express that with a smile, is priceless.
The services, care and sense of community that Mondays at Racine provides to people going through treatment for cancer is invaluable. When you enter any of their locations, you immediately feel welcome and part of something greater, surrounded by warmth, tons of bright smiles and amazing people, all coming together for one reason - to bring a little bit of joy, laughter and respite to the lives of those fighting cancer. For anyone who has a friend, family member or colleague going through treatment for cancer, please check out www.mondaysatracine.org to learn more about the organization and its offerings.
This organization is more than a "charity" or "nonprofit". It's a vision and a dream of a family that is making it all happen. I am so inspired by the work that's done on a daily basis. I can't wait to volunteer again!
There is no better organization to be involved in! The love that pours out as soon as you walk in the door is so unbelievable. Everyone is loving and supporting of one another.
This is an incredible organization that i proudly support!
I can only give them the highest recommendation. Mondays at Racine's cancer care program, which offers complimentary wellness services to those undergoing cancer treatment, has an immediate impact that provides hope, while offering a faster healing and recovery time. Unlike other organizations, MAR has an unwavering commitment to provide these services free of charge, with no financial barriers preventing anyone undergoing cancer treatment from accessing the support they provide. Their Charter Salon program, which is a growing infrastructure of salons offering these services in their local community, is of tantamount importance and should be available in every zip code across the US. Their mission is to accomplish this, and i truly believe they will. MAR's leadership is comprised of people with heart and the will to get the job done. They have not wavered from their mission and continue to move forward with an energetic and visionary team to provide top-notch care to their clients in a warm and caring environment. Kudos!
