Having moved from a small community in Colorado where my children attended a small private school to a large city in CA and a large public school prompted me to seek out Moms in Prayer, and organization I'd heard about on Focus on the Family. There was a prayer group for my children's school which I immediately join. I have been in a Moms in Prayer group ever since. It started at grade school and I am still praying in a Grandmother's in Prayer Group. I am praying for the same schools my children went to. I have been involved for 33 years and will continue as long as I have breath in my lungs. Praying in agreement with other mom's has taught me about the faithfulness of God. I have learned to cast my cares on Him for He cares for me, my children and my grandchildren.

Moms in Prayer has been a lifeline to me when I have felt overwhelmed by the stresses of having a child (now grandchildren) in public school. I cannot go to school every day with them and I cannot filter everything the secular teachers are saying to my grandchildren. But I can send them off (their parents do in reality) knowing that the greatest teacher, the Holy Spirit, goes with them. I can trust in a Loving Father, that loves them more than I do, that will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. I can know that my praying grandmas will be lifting them up before the throne of grace, praying Scripture over them and loving them. So for all the "i cannots", there is one "best" can, I can pray!

Moms in Prayer has been the best nonprofit that I have volunteered for in my last 20 years. Not that the others weren't good, but Moms in Prayer is distinct in these ways: They don't get political, they are frugal with their received donations so that the money goes where it's needed and is not wasted, they stay focused on their mission and vision, they have a simple yet complete training for all levels of volunteers, they are consistent, the support is from the top down and upwards as well, they are so encouraging to mothers of all ages and stages, and they honor God in all they do. I have felt comfortable being in Moms in Prayer since starting 8 years ago, and have felt supported as a member, co-leader, group leader, area coordinator, and now as regional coordinator.

I have been so blessed to be a part of this prayer ministry for almost 20 years. The integrity of this ministry is solid and trustworthy. This ministry has grown my faith and prayer life in too many ways to count. The women God has brought into my life through this ministry are some of His greatest treasures. No matter the age/stage, our children and schools need our prayers

Praying scripturally following the simple 4-steps format with other Christian moms for children and schools is invaluable. I urge every Christian woman to start praying in a group and see why we say, "This is one of the best hours of our week--every week!"

Being part of a Moms in Prayer group is like a combination of deep scripture study and prayer. We follow a pattern of prayer based on the one Jesus taught His disciples. We begin by focusing on a single attribute or name of God and reading scriptures that describe God in that way. We take in that truth and then begin praising Him for who He is, spending about 10-12 minutes. This step has helped me to know my God and because of that, I trust Him more. I used to allow my feelings (worry) to govern my mind and through this practice, I've learned that God is good, faithful, powerful, loving and kind and that He is in control. Each participant of the group prays short-sentence prayers so that no one person begins to dominate the prayer time. And when we begin lifting up our requests for students and school staff, we pray scripture so that we are confident we are praying according to God's will. God has done amazing things in my own children's lives, students' and staff's lives and in my own life through these regular times of prayer. And the ladies I pray with have become my best encouragers and confidants. If you are looking for a prayer group to pray for your children and grandchildren, whether they are young or grown adults, I highly recommend Moms in Prayer International.

This ministry speaks to my mom-heart as I gather with other moms and we pour out our hearts to God using His Scripture and His Promises for our children and schools. The free prayer resources online for this ministry are invaluable. Don't wait. Start praying now for your child and their school.
Experience the peace that is beyond understanding as you bring your concerns to the One who loves your child and has prepared purpose in their life... to give them hope for their future.

What I like about Moms in Prayer International is that they do what they say they are going to do. They pray for children and schools and provide free resources to moms all over the world to help them pray effectively for their children. They post daily scripture so busy moms can get a steady stream of God's word. They tell true stories of how God is answering the prayers of moms for their children and the people at their schools.

I joined my first Moms in Prayer group in 2003 and it has changed my life. We have moved multiple times since then. When we upack, I've already connected with Moms in Prayer and found moms to pray with. It is amazing how many troubles my kids have faced, yet with my group around me and God as my focus through prayer, I have found great peace. I will pray in a Moms in Prayer group until I die, God willing! It seems strange to think that after a week or two, there is such a strong bond and intimacy, but praying for our children really does knit our hearts together.

This ministry has been pivotal in my walk with Christ as we pray one attribute of God each week in our Moms in Prayer hour. Sharing the burden of praying for our children and the schools they attend is a true blessing. I thank God for drawing me closer to him and in fellowship with other Christian moms through Moms in Prayer!

I began my Moms in Prayer journey when my youngest was in kindergarten (he is now in his third year of college). I love that we spend the whole hour in prayer. I love that we praise God through Scripture and thank Him for answered prayers before we start interceding. And my favorite part is praying Scripture over our children and hearing other moms cry out on behalf of your child. My sons learned very early on that there was power in these prayers. My youngest came home one day and told me that he "almost died." My heart of course sank and I teared up as he explained that his shoelace came undone and he stopped in the street to fix it. When he did that, he saw a car race around the corner right in front of him. He told me that an angel must have untied his shoe to protect him from the car. He knew God was protecting him, and he still has that confidence in God's protection. My three young men still come to me with prayer requests and are encouraged when they know that I am lifting them up at my Moms in Prayer group. And now that they aren't under my roof, prayer is the most important thing I can do to impact their lives.

It’s amazing how 1 hour of prayer goes by so quickly. Before joining a Moms in Prayer group, I couldn’t imagine praying for an hour. But now, I look forward to my weekly meeting and am no longer intimidated by my lack of eloquence in prayer. With the MIP format, anyone can talk to the Lord, praying simple, short, scripture-based prayers from the heart. And I can be confident in praying His Word because it IS His will for my child! We use an attribute of God each week as our theme which keeps us focused on Him, His promises, His will, knowing He is able and faithful.

Moms in Prayer has been such a blessing for me and my family for over the past 10+ years. A mom from preschool told me about Moms in Prayer when my older daughter was 4 years old. We've been praying for our kids since then and my dauhters are now teens, 15 and 13 years old. Since then our group has grown to more than 10 moms coming together every Tuesday mornings for an hour. The prayer sheet that we print out from the website is so easy to use. Praying scripture verses over our kids
is so powerful and effective!
We have developed this community of praying moms after school drop offs and we, moms get so blessed praying for our kids, their schools, teachers and staff on their campuses. The peace we get knowing that our Great God hears our prayers and answers them according to His great plans for our kids is so amazing!
We will forever be Moms In Prayer moms no matter the age of our kids!

For 28 years this non profit Prayer ministry has been used by God to transform my life, my family and my own community and beyond. Learning to pray in Moms in Prayer International for children and schools and serving as a leader developer with this global community of women who pray regularly for children and schools has been one of the most fulfilling and fruitful experiences in my life. Through Moms in Prayer I have developed and used my gifts and abilities to mentor other women to become prayer leaders in their communities. The leadership in this non profit is stellar in their commitment to the stated vision and mission and to all of us who volunteer in this prayer ministry, especially as leaders of leaders. I plan to be affiliated with this grassroots non profit ministry for all of my life.

Moms in Prayer International’s mission is simple. Gather moms together to pray for their children and their schools. The mission is met every week as my MIP group meets. We enjoy the opportunity to hear one another pray for our children and it has blessed me every week for almost 12 years. I can’t imagine my life without my MIP friends and our meetings. MIPI keeps the mission simple and doesn’t try to get into other arenas or areas of Christian ministry. Because the goal is simple and easy to achieve— they have the joy of knowing their goal is met every day.

Moms in Prayer International has changed my life. I have personally met the current President and her predecessor. Both passionately lead this organization in its original mission-to teach mothers to pray for their children and their schools. And to impact the next generation for the Kingdom through prayer. I appreciate that MIPI has one mission and sticks to it, not trying to diversify to other areas.

I first heard about Mom's in Prayer on a podcast for another Christian group. I immediately went to the website and was so impressed by what I saw that I shared it with all my friends on Facebook who had children. Several of them said they'd contacted the organization and joined a MIP group at their children's school because they were also impressed with what they saw on the website. I regularly share the MIP podcast and other materials with parents in my own church and all over the world. It is simply one of the best things going on in the world today. In a world full of darkness and despair, it offers hope for the future.

I attended my first Moms in Prayer International conference in Dallas in 2004- first impression was that the registration volunteers were efficient yet gracious! Since then, I have prayed with several Moms in Prayer groups, and have been amazed how quickly deep friendships have been formed. As a leader, I am inspired by how much gets accomplished by the small staff at Headquarters, plus many very committed volunteers from around the globe. Each leader (staff or volunteer) is intelligent, savvy and gracious.

I love Moms In Prayer International. I had moved from California to the state of Missouri over 6 years ago. My daughter was getting to the age that I wasn't needed to volunteer at school anymore (7th grade) and I really wanted to support her and her friends. Our Youth Pastor told me about MIPI and I checked them out. I have now been praying with them for over 5 1/2 years. I not only learned how to pray for my daughter, her friends, classmates and school powerfully, but made great lifelong friends as well. We have cried and laughed and stood for each other when times got tough. MIPI is a warm, welcoming environment. I have prayed through middle school and high school and am now currently in the College and Career Group. I highly recommend Moms In Prayer International and wish I had started a lot sooner like when she started kindergarten. I have met women from all over the area and they are lovely and have a desire to pray for their children. If you are considering this organization but feel a bit shy, go for it. You won't regret it.

I remember hearing there were a group of mom's that got together and prayed for their kids and my high school when I was in High School on Bainbridge Island, Washington in the 1990's. I remember thinking, wow, they get together for us?? Fast forward to me raising my own daughters. My oldest is now in 2nd grade and the greatest peace I find in sending my daughter off to school each day is knowing that I have other mom's praying with me for her and for her school in Almira, WA. There's nothing like having another mom pray scripture along with you over your child...it is powerful and brings peace like no other. It only takes 2 moms to get a group going and I have started 2 groups in the school districts I've been in, the online resources are so helpful to guide our group to pray and the area team volunteers genuinely care and PRAY for our groups to flourish. The heart of Mom's in Prayer is to see every school in the WORLD covered by praying moms, I am 100% in support of this humble but POWERFUL ministry!

I joined Moms in Prayer International when my firstborn started kindergarten. Weekly, hour-long prayer times with other moms of elementary-age kids encouraged me tremendously and blessed my son so very much. I continued on praying for both of my boys through middle school and now high school. They have been protected from much, and I gained lifelong friendships and the wisdom of older moms. Moms in Prayer International is a Ministry that encourages moms to get together in person with other moms to pray for their children and their children's schools and teachers. All over the world, moms gather together with other moms for focused prayer usually once a week for an hour at a time all during the school term. I began nearly twenty years ago praying with a small group of moms praying for my neighborhood elementary school, when my older child began attending first grade there. I started leading that same group when those moms moved on to pray for their children's Junior High and High School. I continued to personally lead small groups of moms to pray for the Elementary School, the jr. hi, and the two high schools and colleges my girls attended. The MIPI ministry has expanded over the years to be praying all over the world in over 143 countries and the Moms in Prayer Booklet that teaches the 4 Steps of Prayer has been translated into over 80 languages. The reason that Moms in Prayer continues to grow is because we have all experienced what a great God we have. He answers our prayers for our children in sometimes dramatic and sometimes apparently mundane ways, but always we see that his hand is lovingly at work in answer to our faithful week in, week out, in-agreement prayers.

I found Moms in Prayer as a young mom. My boys are in high school and college now and I can honestly say it is the best thing I do for my boys. I have complete confidence in Moms In Prayer leadership. This ministry was built from the most faithful Christians I have ever met. They seek the Lord in all they do. They are frugal with every dollar and follow the Lord’s direction. I am still amazed how many women across the globe that God calls-not only to pray weekly in groups for children and schools, but women who will eagerly spend their own money on gas, airfare, hotels and materials to share it with others. So now they run an international ministry on much less than my large church on the corner of town. I encourage every woman to not only join the ministry in praying for your children and schools, but to financially support a ministry that is changing the world!

Moms In Prayer International is MORE than moms who pray together. It is a lifeline that CONNECTS, EQUIPS, and DEVELOPS praying moms in their communities to pray TOGETHER. Grounded and rooted in Christian principles, I see the commitment of Moms In Prayer International to equipping a generation of moms how to pray fervently and effectively for their children who may or may not know GOD. In my MIPI group, i have witnessed the power of praying one accord with young moms who were weary and questioning their faith in GOD. When i heard a praying mom (that did not know me) cry out for my son just as hard as i do, i was compelled to take my prayer life to another level!

My mantra, “Pray before your child’s first breath until your last” is what connected me to Moms In Prayer International. Even though i connected to MIPI when my son was in high school, i was not a stranger to prayer. I am a fourth generation intercessor, I HEARD my Great-Grandmother, Grandmother and Mother pray for me. I say that not to brag but i realized how i took the precious GIFT of intercession and the POWER of a praying mom for granted. I have always been covered and saturated with prayer. As the Mother of three black males, i am reminded DAILY of the privilege given Moms to cover and saturate their children in prayer with the POWER of HOLY SPIRIT that dwells in me. Moms In Prayer International connected me to praying moms that i would not have known were there if i had not been COMPELLED by my friend to join her MIPI group. My prayers are global...yes GLOBAL because of my international praying moms.

The impact of praying one accord in community is exactly what is needed for such a time as this. Moms In Prayer International employs me to take my faith beyond my home and the church walls (my comfort zone) for where it is needed most (e.g., local schools) for those who need it most (e.g., administrators, educators, support staff, students). It is an honor to be apart of this fine international organization and serve the Kingdom of GOD here on earth.

I have been associated with Mom in Prayer since 2002. As I have taken on various leadership roles I am continuously impressed on how Moms in Prayer remains true to their mission. Mission statement: Moms in Prayer International impacts children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray. When the moms gather they do not study or talk about prayer they actually do it; they pray scriptually in one accord. Each member is called to prayer by our Heavenly Father.

I have only began being part of this ministry, but I see a difference in our life already. When I filled out the form to find a group in my area, Cyletha Smith from Bowling Green called me. However, there was group in my area of the state. God was able to surprise me again in a couple of ways. I am now being encouraged by God to lose my insecurity and lead a group in Owensboro but also Ohio County needs someone to get them started. Also, the day CeCe called I was having a down day both physically and mentally. I had been praying that day that God would take this burden from me. That is what he did through CeCe. At some point during our interaction I begin feeling better. That feeling has not returned to the way it was. I praise God for helping me, sending Moms In Prayer in my life and for CeCe who has been an answer of many prayers.

Like many people, I heard sermons on prayer and knew that it was something I was supposed to do regularly, but why was I falling asleep while praying? Why did it seem like a list of requests to recite? Then I got involved with Moms in Prayer International. My first child was in Junior Kindergarten and there were things happening at his school that I was alarmed about. What to do? I looked on the Moms in Prayer website and found the Ontario Provincial Coordinator (in Canada). She encouraged me to order a booklet and to pray for God to send one other woman to join me in praying for my son and his school. 3 months later, I found another Christian mom to pray with. Wow! I was amazed at using this method of prayer! It is so uplifting and perspective-changing to praise God using verses in the Bible. And then it is so cleansing and freeing to confess my sins to God and know they are forgiven. The time of thanksgiving reminds me of the ways God has already answered my prayers. The intercession time - sometimes I feel like I have had a workout by the end of our prayer time. Using scripture verses, praying for one person at a time, and one subject at a time, allows us to focus in on the need like a skillful surgeon with a scalpel. I am in a different group now in a different province, and I know I have been changed by Moms in Prayer International. I am sure my prayers have made a difference too - but I may never know the extent of this until I reach heaven someday. I am now an Area Coordinator with this ministry, working to tell others about Moms in Prayer International, and encouraging women to learn how to pray and then form groups to pray for 1 hour per week. Give this ministry a try - you have nothing to lose and so much to gain! You will be changed and your prayers will change not only your children's lives, but their schools and communities too!

I have been changed through praying for children and schools. The children are the leaders of the next generation. Everything we can do to invest them will bear eternal rewards!

I was anxious about sending my oldest daughter to Kindergarten last year (2015) and I felt burdened to pray for her with other moms. After a quick search online I found Moms in Prayer and got connected with their area coordinator in my state. Lets just say the rest in history and I am on my second year leading a Moms in Prayer group at my church. The blessings of praying each week with other moms for our children, schools, teachers, and principals is truly life changing. The resources and trainings offered by Moms in Prayer are amazing.

It has been a three year journey with Moms in Prayer; so far. My heart was selfish for my children at first. However in Christ, there are no boundaries for love. Setting aside time to pray everyday and to plan a prayer sheet every week helps me to see God's vastness, glory, and great mercy more than I have ever experienced before. Other mom's heart felt prayers somehow seem to touch spaces in my soul I had not known as they cry out for the lives of their children and mine. Because, week after week not only do we love, but we see God's provision. How blessed to witness the journey of many faithful lives. How blessed to see God's handiwork unfold before me. Moms in Prayer has strengthened what I was taught from youth, and its scriptural base is refining me everyday. Moms in prayer provides a way to tear down denominational walls and grows my hope in unifying Christian moms to work together for God's Glory.

I have been actively-involved as a volunteer with Moms in Prayer International for over 12 years. A good friend of mine has said that praying for your child and his/her school one hour per week is one of the most efficient and effective ways you can volunteer and have an impact at a particular school. Being involved cultivates a thankful heart in each participant, fostering a more positive attitude at home. Another by-product is the amazing friendships I’ve established with ladies across the country!

This non-profit has supporters in over 140 countries. The small staff at the Poway headquarters is augmented by over 70 key volunteers who serve as mentors, team leaders and administrators. The ministry leaders I've had the privilege of working with are wise, well-organized, frugal and gracious.

Moms in Prayer has been a lifeline for me over the past six years as my children have grown and graduated from high school. The encouragement and scripture verse blessings I receive in prayer over my family and myself have helped me through difficult times. The biggest blessing is how the Holy Spirit fills me as we pray and when we finish emboldens me to glorify The Lord with my life.
Thank You,

Now in my fourth year of moms in prayer, I can say with certainty that I know Jesus better and trust him more because of the time spent in prayer with the mothers at school, and because of learning to pray in this special way. Moms in Prayer takes God at his word, believing that his promises are true, and claiming them as reality for our children and our schools. Moms in Prayer has also given me an outlet for ministry since I have begun praying in the local county jail with the incarcerated moms who are crying out for their children. While my own faith commitment has flourished in a church of the Reformed tradition, I appreciate being able to approach God with my sisters from many different Evangelical churches. Thank you Moms in Prayer for encouraging women to put down competition, gossip, and unwholesome talk, and pick up our Bibles while bowing our heads.

I first learned about Moms in Prayer as I was reading "Praying the Scriptures for your Children" by Fern Nichols (which was a wonderful gift I received upon the birth of our first child). A short time after, a local group was formed in our community and more specifically at the school my daughter attended. I was unable to attend the prayer meetings physically due to my professional career. However, I participated weekly via email! The leader emailed me a prayer guide weekly and I prayed with our moms from my desk or on the road!! Now, completely unexpected, my husband and I work ib our school full time. My husband became the school administrator of our Christian school at the begging this school year and I have joined him this ministry as a high school teacher. We are so thankful for the opportunity to minister together as a family and depend on the prayers of our Moms in Prayer group now more than ever! Thank you!

I travel as a writer and speaker and have had the wonderful opportunity to share with Moms/ Mums in many countries how to pray with and for your children and your children's teachers. I have introduced them to Mom's In Prayer so moms, no matter where they live, will gain encouragement, equipping and support through the high quality and personal help of Mom's In Prayer

Mom's in Prayer really awakened me to the fact that I needed a better prayer life. It turned my focus to realizing how much I needed to be praying more, and to how effective prayer really is. Not only that, but because of Moms in Prayer my own walk with the Lord has grown. I have seen the Lord answer prayer, and have seen Him work in my children's lives. I love the bonds that develop as I pray with other moms and we lift up each other's children. I love Moms in Prayer, and I thank the Lord for it!

I've been with Moms in Prayer for 22 years. I met a wonderful group of like minded Christian women. I learned how to pray scripturally and specifically for my children. I was able to witness and praise many, many answers to prayer. All of this has helped me pray with and for others in many different facets of my life. Moms in Prayer follows a scriptural design for prayer. I fully support this ministry and encourage you to join a group of Momswho also desire to stand in the gap for their kids in prayer. It will change your life and draw you closer to your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Moms in Prayer has meant so much to me. I have been able to share my burdens, confidentially, as my children grew up. Burdens such as good recall during an important test to safety and purity during Prom night. Now that my children are grown, I pray for their careers and spouses. What a blessing to carry everything to God in prayer with other Moms by my side through thick and thin.

I have been with Moms in Prayer since the mid 80s. I am currently praying once a week for my adult children and an adopted school, and praying in two groups each month for my grandchildren. Our groups have been together for ten years. We know how to pray for our children and for each other as we do battle each week for the lives and souls of our kids. It gives me confidence, peace and encouragement to know that many dear sisters are praying for my children. I am currently on the Board of Directors, but I also serve as a volunteer in the office, as Area Coordinator for three school districts and a Country Helper for the groups in Malawi Africa. And our prayers are answered!

This ministry is life changing! Not just mine and my family, but others throughout the world! My state and regional coordinators have been a blessing in getting my group going, and in supporting us from before we started. So far, we've seen healing from illness, darkness exposed in one of the schools we're covering in prayer, and bonding of families who were struggling to build those deep heart connections! And we've only been a group for 3 months!! I couldn't do it without this amazing organization God led me to!!

Moms in Prayer International turned my fear to faith, as their proven prayer methods taught me about the attributes of God and the power of praying the Word of God over my children and their teachers. It will give you as a mom hope and courage as you learn to pray for your children as you raise them in the culture today.

Every child including you and me have been prayed for by his or her mother in one way or the other. But the Four Steps of Prayer we use in praying for children and the school they attend in Moms Prayer International is what makes the difference.

I have participated in this ministry for 23 years and have know it to be highly sensitive to its use of funds which for the most part come from us moms. Being in a group and having other moms pray for my children has been powerful, and our prayer times together have resulted in my getting to know the Lord God, our Creator and Savior, in a more intimate way as we pray using the truth of His own words.

Praying with and for other moms has had a huge impact on me as a parent and on my prayer life. The structure and scripture focus helps center the prayer on God and His word. I remember and use the verses again and again to remind me of the character of our great God. The privilege to pray for another mom's children is very dear to me and I appreciate the prayers and care that others send up for my girls.

Since the first time I attended Moms in Prayer, I haven't missed a week unless I was out of town! Praying with other moms for our children and for our schools has tremendously impacted me. What a blessing to be a part of seeing God work in and through our sons and daughters and bless our schools! You should join or start a group and watch God answer prayer!

I have been a prayer group leader since my daughter was in 1st grade and now she's in 5th. Our little group has grown from 2 of us the first year, to our current 6-12 moms praying together each week for our neighborhood school, staff, children, and families. The leadership of this nonprofit is extremely well-organized and encouraging to it's group leaders and members. The support is always there when we need it, with our area coordinator is ready to answer any questions and provide wise counsel. Their Website provides all the resources we need to print out pre-filled in prayer sheets to lead our prayer each week. Moms in Prayer reaches it's international arms around the world to reach as many moms to pray for their children and schools as possible.
