Moms House Inc

Mom's House of Phoenixville was not at all what I thought it would be. It was more! They advertise themselves as a free daycare for low-income single mothers pursuing an education, but what they really are goes beyond words. I spent three and half years being a client at Mom's House and two years volunteering/working there and I am proud to have been part of an organization that gives single moms a fighting chance. At an education. At a better life for themselves. At a better life for their child/children. At a career. At a support network of lifelong friends. At hope. Mom's House gives so much and asks so little. I credit my current success as both a mother and working single mom solely to Mom's House and the opportunity they gave me. They were a second home to my daughter while I finished college and I am forever grateful for my time spent there with those lifesaving individuals.

This is a great service for our community in Phoenixville, for single parents that are going to school and Moms house provides a safe haven for there children to grow learn and feel the love of great staff and it's all Free!!

Moms House is an awesome place for kids, and a great support for our community. As an educator, I really appreciate the service that MH provides by allowing young mothers to continue with their education. It is done with love and compassion towards the mother and child. Including the 2 hour service requirement makes this program even stronger, as the mothers earn a sense of pride and accomplishment while learning some valuable information such as interview skills, resume writing, etc...

I have been a client of Mom's House for almost 2 years. I have one more class left to complete before graduation and I wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for Mom's House. They have loved and cared for every child that comes through the doors. They teach them how to respect themselves and others, teach them the correct methods of personal hygiene and teach them academically to the best of each child's ability. My son will start kindergarten this fall, and the counselors we met with at registration were so impressed with how far he is academically. That is because of Mom's House, as I know he would not be where he is today without the help of the teachers and staff. They also have amazing volunteers that love our children too. They look forward to coming in to play with her kids, and that means so much to us moms! I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of Mom's House.

The dedicated staff at Mom's House provide free excellent child care in a nurturing setting for children of single Moms and Dads who are attending school full time. This service breaks the vicious cycle of poverty and lack of education that so many families with single parents endure themselves and then pass on to their children. Mom's House changes lives and families forever. I am a donor and a volunteer and each time I offer my time or financial resources to Mom's House I feel so good and proud to be part of this wonderful organization...you will too!

Kuddos to Mom's House! Thank you for helping to make your community a better place by helping single parents go back to school by providing loving, quality childcare for their little ones! Not only is that individual and child benefitting, but so is the community at large that now has a more educated, responsible, wage earning citizenry!

I am a retired School Counselor who has been volunteering at Mom's House for the past 7 years. It is a magical place! The children are so well loved and cared for while their parent(s) are supported and encouraged along every step of their journey. Mom's House is more than a Day Care facility. It truly is a second home to the children where they are taught good manners, good hygiene, pre-kindergarten academic skills and respect for themselves, their families, their teachers and their community.
The best part of my volunteer time there is " getting ready for rest time". We help the children wash their faces, brush their teeth and read them a story. Then it's rest time on their own cots with their own special blanket. The teachers and volunteers sit on the floor and rub the backs of the children who ask for it and we all listen to the soothing music before they fall asleep. Wish that all children could have such a warm, loving place to spend the day.

As a funder, who has supported Mom's House for many years, we have been impressed with the growth and maturity of the Board of Directors and governance function -- impressed with their commitment to sustainability. They provide a critical service to single moms pursuing their education -- working hard to improve their lives and the lives of their children. They know their children are safe, secure and loved; they are supported in their educational and personal pursuits ... always knowing that the staff at Mom's House are there for their family. Mom's House is an exemplary organization.

We have worked with Mom's House for many years through the Chamber of Commerce. Not only do they provide a wonderful service for their parents and kids, but also to the community. They actively participate and contribute to many organizations and causes within Phoenixville outside of their normal day to day responsibilities. Whether its serving on a committee, donating a raffle basket to an auction or just attending the event -- they support in many different ways!

We truly appreciate the partnership they have created within our organization and the community at large with area businesses. This partnership provides a strong connection between local business and their non-profit, but is also a great example of how actively supporting non-profits and community groups can not only grow your business but change the way people look at your business. People want to support people who contribute to the community -- and this is a perfect example of that to our Chamber Members.

Mom's house is much more than your average daycare. They not only care for your child, but teach and care for them as if they were their own. They go on field trips, provide them with Christmas (and other holiday) presents, and impact each child's life in so many ways. This organization also provides support to families. I have been truly blessed to receive such a great support system from Mom's house. I graduate in December. If it weren't for Mom's house, I would never have gotten this far.

Mom's House is an amazing gift to the parents and children the serve. They have rented space in my church's building for a couple years now, and I'm proud that we are hosting them while they change lives for the better.
