Mission:
Prosthetics Outreach Foundation (POF) helps developing countries restore mobility and independence to amputees and other physically disabled children and adults by providing access to prosthetic care, orthopedic surgery, and clubfoot treatment. POF emphasizes community-based rehabilitation and the building of local capacity in developing countries through training of local personnel, in-county manufacturing of assistive devices and their components, and appropriate technology transfer. Our goal is to help developing countries care for their own disabled persons without ongoing external assistance. Since our inception, we have helped more than 16,500 disabled men, women and children around the world to walk again.
