Causes: Food, Meals on Wheels
Mission: Mobile meals of worthington shall be a non-profit organization made up of representatives from participating churches of the community, whose purpose shall be to furnish and deliver a hot, well-balanced noon-time meal, monday through friday. There will be no meals delivered on the following holidays: christmas day, new year's day, thanksgiving, memorial day, fouth of july, and labor day. We cannot deliver meals to part-time clients and we do not deliver meals to a facility that has on-site meal preperation. The client will be any person who because of illness, disabliity, advanced age, or other incapacitating conditions are unable to prepare a meal for themselves. The meals will be furnished at cost.
Programs: The purpose is to furnish a hot, well balance noon meal, monday through friday to persons who because of illness, disablement, advanced age or other incapacitating causes are unable to prepare for themselves a main meal. We delivered about 9976 noon meals and brought smiling faces and conversation to those we served. The servers are well received and the clients are always very gratefull to receive the hot meals.
