Causes: Education
Mission: The purpose for which the Corporation is organized shall be to provide musical education, performance and scholarship opportunities for students at McKinney North High School. The MNHS Band Boosters will serve as an organization of support for both the band students and the band directors.
Target demographics: the McKinney North High School Band program
Direct beneficiaries per year: 200 students grow their appreciation for instrumental music and enhance their leadership skills
Geographic areas served: McKinney, Texas
Programs: provide opportunities for instrumental private lessons to economically disadvantaged students, school staff augmentation for color guard choreography, competition entry fees and associated costs, instrument and equipment maintenance costs not borne by the school district, general support for a competitive high school band
