Mite

While supporting their tasks for operations, I shared an account on a website with a team member. This account had my credit card info. After I stopped assisting with the tasks, I was locked out of my personal account that I shared with the team member, which I understand is a normal part of process for safety reasons for the organization. However, shortly after that, this team member specifically logged into my account and made a few purchases on my credit card, which I never consented to or was notified about. I contacted the company that the charges came from, who did confirmed that the account that I've shared with the team member was used more than once for those purchases, and had to dispute the charges. They have a great mission, but this was a disappointing experience.

Mite's work has changed the way I view giving. They do an incredible job partnering with organizations around the world that are ethical and sustainable, and I love the transparency they provide. Hearing the stories of the people Mite has worked with is a tremendous joy.

Mite is an amazing organization. They carefully pick different projects that they know will be super impactful to so so so many people. They put in SO much effort and work into seeing these projects succeed. The best part is you get updates all along the way of what your contribution is doing and who it is helping. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful as well. I would recommend donating to Mite to anyone that is looking to do some good in the world. Thank you Mite!! :)

MITE is the type of organization that everyone should be part of, donate to, and keep up with. It is very hard to find quality organizations these days where you know exactly what your money is going towards. Being able to see first hand how I am helping through them is a gift in itself. The projects that MITE takes part in, you can tell are vetted with care and extreme consideration.

I love working with Mite… their process shows you how you are making a difference. Being able to see videos and pictures of the difference that Mite makes allows me to feel more involved. I love what they are doing and will continue to give!

I have always valued and embraced liberal generosity and the spirit of celebration. However, I've often found it challenging to decide where to contribute and to know if my donations really made a difference. Mite is the first organization that has enabled me to donate in a way that makes me feel part of something personal and impactful—where even the smallest donation matters, and its effects are visible—where we together celebrate the hope and freedom experienced in places I may never see. Together, we are making a difference.

In 2024, Mite supported MiracleFeet's clubfoot treatment program in Pakistan. Mite was helpful and communicative throughout all stages of the grantmaking process, and during Mite's site visit to Pakistan, Mite representatives were respectful, professional, and appreciative. MiracleFeet's team in Pakistan really enjoyed accommodating their visit. The celebration video and photographs collected during the site visit were beautiful and high-quality, and we really appreciated Mite allowing us to use these resources on MiracleFeet's social media channels and in other marketing materials. All around, Mite is a great funding partner, and we look forward to a lasting relationship with them!

We operate a PreK-11th grade school in Comalapa, Guatemala called Hero School. 178 students (Heroes) attend our school. Mite is one of the reasons we are able to operate our school and provide a high-quality education for the people in Comalapa, Guatemala. Mite helped us build and equip the first school-based science laboratory in the history of our town and state. Mite is responsible for funding the construction of our final classroom. Mite is also why our students and teachers are able to build essential infrastructure to improve living conditions for the people in Comalapa who need it most. We are well beyond grateful for their support!

Being someone who works in the nonprofit industry, I choose to support Mite.org for so many reasons: I appreciate how they vet each charity project they partner with; I love having a choice of very different projects to support, learning about global needs and the initiatives that address them; and I enjoy the communications from Mite. Emails are informative and not overdone, their reporting is clear and transparent, and the impact stories are so well-told I feel like I truly understand how they are helping those in need with my donations.

Mite has made the giving experience a pleasure. I know where my money is going and I get to receive updates about the progress and status of the projects. Excited to continue to give!

Mite goes above and beyond to serve donors to ensure their money is being used to make a positive global impact. One of my favorite things about Mite is the celebration video they produce for every project. These videos consist of stories from the projects that allow the donor to better understand the project and see the lasting impact of their donation. These stories touch my heart and always remind me that the world is so much bigger than myself. I love Mite and am honor to get to be apart of something amazing!

I've been a part of the Mite Community for years now & with certainty I can say that giving to Mite is unlike any other charitable experience I've had before. Everything their team does has us, their donors, in mind, but my absolute favorites are the stories they bring from the field. I love to travel, experience different cultures, & meet new people, so being connected to my gifts that are reaching people across the world is important to me. Mite goes to these villages across the world & brings back stories from people I would have never had the opportunity of meeting. Now I know of a women & her husband in Cambodia whose life changed because of my giving. We may never meet personally, but I will never forget about her, her family, & the village of Rohal.

As both a donor and volunteer myself, I get a chance to work very close with the Mite team and I can vouch for their transparency, love, and attention to detail. Personally, i've never traditionally liked "charity" organizations, but Mite has shown me that Global Charities can still exist that actually do something good with every penny donated.

Empower Women - Kenya project is an incredible moment to support community health education and the ability to create a meaningful change. Mite won my heart for giving when they explained that 100% of my donations would go to the cause I chose to support. And they also won my heart with their name that so amply exemplifies the love of giving, regardless of the amount. A little goes a long way when incorporated with the giving of many. I delight in sharing this life changing ministry with others and enjoy each social media, email contact from Mite and sending this information on to others. I will be a life long contributor to this ministry!

I just returned from a trip to Malawi with the eMite team. What an incredible organization and staff! They were professional and very respectful to the local leaders. eMite is such a unique nonprofit! Their ability to connect donors with people who are doing work in international ministries/nonprofits is remarkable. A donor truly feels that they are contributing significantly when their "mite" (donation) is joined with others' mites to do good. The team at eMite works tirelessly to vet partners who are doing great work in their home countries and then allows the donor to follow along on social media and through Celebration Videos at the conclusion of a short term project. Too often, even when donors trust the nonprofits they support, they may wonder where their money went. That is not the case with eMite! A donor feels encouraged and empowered when they see their donation at work through the eMite system. eMite is outstanding, progressive in their approach and on a mission to make the donor experience superb!

What initially drew me to eMite was the premise that giving is at its best when everyone does their part to contribute. As a college student, I felt that described my situation well. I did not have a lot to offer, but I had something. I have now been a donor to eMite for over two years and am consistently impressed by the level of transparency and purpose-driven work accomplished. One of my favorite aspects of eMite is how they stay in touch with the donor base. eMite has given me multiple opportunities to offer my feedback and questions about future projects and partnerships. This is one way I feel I can contribute beyond my donation and feel like a member of the eMite Family.

The heart of eMite is to share the joy of giving. eMite uniquely leverages its mission to identify worthy partner projects and elevate the donor expedience. eMite brings greater awareness to the needs and opportunities of its project partners and the lives they seek to impact. The variety of projects allows all eMiters the opportunity to experience a variety of ministry opportunities and to better understand the type of ministry opportunities that they want to dive deeper in. The “in field updates” and “celebration videos” allow me to share the progression of each project with my three daughters. eMite is most successful when it helps others succeed and blesses the heart of the giver.

Love this organization and the group of people behind it! As the International Missions Director for a Humanitarian Relief Organization I have had the privilege of working closely with EMite on one of their projects. I so appreciate their approach of not taking over, but rather coming alongside and determining how they can best support the organization and project they are partnering with.
