An amazing museum, venue, and creative space! This place is top notch and is surprising to find in Meridian, MS. Equipped with a Recording Studio, Pottery Studio, 2D Studio, Classroom for kids to make crafts, as well as interactive exhibits, you can help but learn something new every time you visit this place. Member benefits far exceed any other member benefits at other institutions. Great place to be a member, support, and visit!

Below, from an October Facebook post, one of several that I (a new member of the MAX board) have offered. My praise would be offered without a board role, but I'm gaining new insight on the many ways the MAX can elevate understanding of the remarkable arts contributions from Mississippians. This dynamic attraction takes the museum idea to a new level. Hands-on features especially attractive to children. In divisive times, this new institution is helping people from all walks of life to connect and celebrate homegrown talent that gains wide notice. From post, just one illustration:

Rich subject: Willie Morris, David Rae Morris and the “Love Daddy” special exhibit, at the MAX state arts museum in Meridian. Runs through mid December. A beautiful image and text presentation on the Mississippi writer and his long-ago letters to son David Rae (photographer and documentary creator, now based in New Orleans). I got to see the exhibit today, and appreciate the MAX’s other interactive features, during a brief visit to my hometown. Check it out if you have a chance.

A symbol of Mississippi's pride and ambition for the future. What a wonderful story to share with the world.
