Causes: Business & Industry
Mission: Serves the interest of multifamily housing owners, managers, developers and suppliers, and promotes a high level of professionalism in the multifamily industry to better serve the rental housing needs of the public.
Programs: Maa grew this year to 217 members and represent 16 management companies, 60 associates/vendors and 24,064 apartment units at 141 properties. Earlier this year, the association had a record level attendance of 275 people at the crawfish boil at the braves stadium. Fifteen participants completed the cam course and fourteen participants completed the nalp course. Twenty-four maintenance techs competed in the first maintenance mania. Maa members submitted 52 nominations for the best in industry and the association was excited to award the winners at the first annual diamond awards gala. Maa continues to strengthen the relationship between vendors and its members. The membership committee started the "do business with a member" campaign and has more fun ideas for 2018. The association was pleased to see 140 attendees at the trade show where 36 vendors presented.
