Mission: The mississippi center for nonprofits is the state's only nonprofit center. The center's mission is to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits to serve the people and communities of mississippi. For the thousands of nonprofit organizations across the state, the center is the primary source of management training, technical information, advice, answers, coaching and connection to vital resources.
Programs: During fiscal 2017:* the center conducted 20 workshops that delivered management training to 225 nonprofit leaders across the state. * the center hosted three regional all-day nonprofit conferences in which 90 nonprofit leaders received training on key topics. * the center fielded nearly 1,000 calls for help from nonprofits across the state. * the center delivered a biweekly newsletter to 3,000 mississippi nonprofits. * the center worked closely with ms association of grantmakers on ways to improve services and assistance to nonprofits. * the center consulted with 15 nonprofits on management issues.
