HarvestCall Rebuilding Ministry helps people recover after a disaster by rebuilding thier homes. We help those who cannot recover on their own. We stay in one location for 3 months at a time and see upwards of 500 volunteers for the duration of the project. We were in need of a laundry trailer and contacted Mission on Wheels. They supplied us with a laundry trailer including delivery, set up and return. We have been blessed by Mission on Wheels and consider them a partner in our endevors!

Hurricane Harvey decimated the Rockport, TX area when it came ashore in 2017. Initial teams from my organization were able to billet in locations powered by generator, which provided a/c THANK GOODNESS, but we did not have access to showers for many, many days. Dude Wipes and sponge baths were the norm but, after working in 95° heat with 95% humidity for days on end, we were GROSS.

I don't remember what day it was that Missions On Wheels rolled up with a shower trailer. The gentleman apologized because he didn't have propane to heat the water, because there wasn't any to be found for hundreds of miles, but it didn't matter - we all could have kissed him, had he let us get anywhere near him. What I DO remember is stepping into that shower in the trailer, turning on the cool water (because nothing is cold when it's 95/95 outside), and collapsing to the floor to sob as it washed over me.

The relief was indescribable and I'm not sure a shower ever felt that good.

"Our mission is to provide mobile showers, living quarters, and laundry trailers to non-profit organizations and local governments to bolster their response to disaster and community outreach at little or no cost to the organization or user.

We are veteran-founded and operated!"

We have worked alongside MOW on more operations than I can recall and they are a VITAL piece of the quilt that makes up the recovery effort for each community impacted by disaster. Being able to wash your clothes or wash off after a long hard day of dragging debris or cutting up downed trees is truly a force multiplier, enabling volunteers to give even more to the communities we are serving. MOW is typically behind the scenes but they are as invaluable as the people out in front.

Yet another organization worthy of our support!

They have provided much needed shower trailers and bunk trailers for years after hurricane Ian in Fort Myers. We could not have supported the amount of volunteers that came without their help. It’s my honor and pleasure to serve with such an amazing organization.

I was introduced to the Mission on Wheels family by very good friend of mine Paul Tuch. both Mike and Debbie are very pleasant easy-going people who are very dedicated to what they're doing and who work very hard to see that this dream of theirs to help first responders and victims meets or exceeds its responsibilities.
although at the time I was not able to get involved in their project as much as I really wanted to because of health issues I have nothing but the very utmost respect for Mission on Wheels, The people who are involved in it, and particularly Mike and Debbie who are dedicating their lives to making it work.
sincerely, Keith Collins...

Mission on Wheels (MoW) is one of the unsung heros of the non-profit disaster response community. Their contributions increase the velocity, magnitude and duration of response for other responding organizations. Knowing that there will be showers & laundry to support responders & volunteers allows groups to get their personnel on-scene faster, in larger numbers and stay longer to help individuals and communities impacted by disasters.

Amazing folks that are always helping hard hit areas. When disaster strikes they don’t hesitate to hit the road & go wherever needed to provide hot showers.

I have known Mike and Debbie since 2007 when we moved to Kansas. These 2 answered God's call to do the hard work of actually making a difference for others. They have maintained their mission and core values from the very beginning. They have also stepped out on faith a few times but they knew it was the right thing to do. I don't think either one had any idea how much work this would be or how far they have taken this but the untold lives they have helped is immeasurable.

Missions on wheels was such a blessing last week! We were in Florida doing hurricane cleanup and the best part of my day was getting to go in that shower! After spending a long day in the heat and getting disgusting, there is nothing better to pick you back up. Mike was awesome and very helpful too!

I have watched first hand for the past 10 plus years the dedication and commitment of everyone involved in Missions on Wheels when it comes to being prepared and deploying trailers to aid in disaster relief. Mike, Debi and all the volunteers who work to keep the trailers serviced, maintained, and available to first responders have one goal and that is to provide the best possible equipment in time of need. They are to be commended for all they do.

Mike & the team at Mission on Wheels have always been able to support the non profit I work for with showers and bunk trailers. The quality of the product MOW delivers is above that of other paid for services we have used and I will continue to call on Mike when we need assistance if the field after disaster strikes! -Cal Verdin, Team Rubicon

I'm a volunteer leader with Team Rubicon and we often are fortunate enough to have access to the shower trailers that Mission on Wheels provides. When you're in a disaster area, there are very limited resources, especially running water and electricity; at the end of the day when our volunteers who have been helping communities get back on their feet, all getting dirty and tired, we look forward to the opportunity to get a shower. When we're first on the scene and often without showers for several weeks once word gets around at our FOB (home base in a disaster area) that Mission on Wheels has a shower trailer nearby and at the end of the day they'll be able to use it, morale soars. What they do is extremely valuable and it's truly a force multiplier in helping volunteers know that at the end the day you've got a clean towel and hot shower. Very thankful for what Mission on Wheel does to help us in helping those affected by disaster.

As a volunteer who has been involved and utilized shower and bunk trailers from MoW several times over the last several years, I can't say enough good things about them!

They seek to meet a need that is often underrecognized post-disaster- to meet hygiene and sanitation and mobile housing needs for responder groups. As someone who served in a disaster area without power and running for 18 days, the shower trailer, hot water and bunkhouses made our experience

MoW keeps their equipment in top-notch condition, seeking to provide safe, stocked, functioning and clean trailers. They have met or exceeded expectations in this space, and I am ever so grateful!

Missions on Wheels offers a necessary and often overlooked service in the disaster response world. Providing clean and sanitary showers for volunteers allows volunteer agencies to get work done better and for longer than they could otherwise.

Missions on Wheels has been a trusted partner of Hardin County Strong since shortly after Harvey. Missions on Wheels graciously provided us with shower and dormitory trailers which were used by over 600 disaster volunteers we housed in an empty school building that did not have showers or washers/dryers. Missions on Wheels did not charge us one dime to use these resources and we had them for over a year. This was invaluable to our organization and allowed us to host volunteers that provided critical repairs to homes damaged/destroyed by Harvey floodwaters. We appreciate Missions on Wheels and it's founder, Mike and Debbie Costello very much!

During a disaster when searching for resources are scarce, having a contact vs. following the normal structure can mean the difference between recovery starting immediately or having to be delayed. Mike and his team have been phenomenal during the multiple disasters over the last few years in south east Texas. It is building those key relationships ahead of a disaster that ultimately determines how well a community can rebound.

Missions on Wheels is a true mission and serves a real purpose to those working the disaster response and recovery field. You don't realize how valuable they truly are until you realize you need the services they provide.

Always Grateful,
~Morgan Lumbley Disaster Recovery Manager

I had the pleasure of using the mobile showers from MoW for two different events. Both events involved over 100 people.

The showers arrived fully functioning, fully stocked, and fully clean and sanitized. This seems obvious, however I have had past experiences with other vendors for which I would not be able to say the same.

I was impressed with the pristine condition and well-considered provisions these mobile showers offered. In addition, strict sanitization guidelines were given - and enforced - to ease our current COVID concerns.

Overall, we were very impressed with the units and look forward to enjoying them in the future!

Without Missions on Wheels we wouldn't have been able to provide hot showers to hundreds of homeless people a week in South Dallas when the shelters shutdown due to Covid-19. Because of Missions on Wheels we were able to avoid a public health crisis in the midst of the pandemic! Thank you Missions on Wheels for supporting the mission of Runners Refuge to end poverty and homelessness in South Dallas.

Our passion is serving others without regard to their walk of life. Our goal from day was to fill a void in the nonprofit sector with safe, efficient and comfortable self-contained trailer based equipment to serve anyone. Our equipment lends itself well to serving other organizations and ministries to better accomplish their outreach goals and we are always happy to provide logistics support to help meet their needs.
