I have donated many hours of volunteer time and money to this organization. I have seen how it works tirelessly giving to others, taking nothing for themselves (no one is paid, not even the director), and making a big difference for those who have been through trauma . If you are interested in a donating to a nonprofit group that will make sure your donations go directly to victims, please consider America's Disaster Relief.
Jan helped me with motel exspense during my testin for transplant she also had a very nice volunteer lady stay with me for the whole week during testing. Thank you Jan from my heart
I have known Jan for a few years now. Her tireless efforts as head of this organization has truly made it a highly respectable, but more importantly, an organization that 100% of Donations, either monetary or products, go to the people who need it most. She does not even take a salary... This is what all nonprofits should use as a model(business guide) when starting or better yet revamping their organization.
I started out volunteering with ADR in 2013. Jan and all of ADR has dine so much for so many people. I personally am proud to volunteer for this organization because they step in and make a difference not only during but also once everyone else is long gone. I found them in 2013 after the Moore tornadoes and started working with volunteers from ADR who had been affected by Sandy who chose to start making a difference in thier area. Since then, I have seen Jan, Gumer, and Americas Disaster Relief help many others all over and in many different situations. Volunteering with ADR has been inspiring because I get to be part of a team that helps make a difference in so many different areas. They get the job done and do it with full compassion and understanding in a way that many other agencies struggle to be able to do!!
