Mission: Missionary Health Service was founded in 1992 to serve the poor and disadvantaged people of rural Honduras. The site for our Whispering Hope Clinic in the village of Chapagua was selected because it is the hub of the surrounding 18 villages, which have no health care available. Our philosophy is to provide health education and to have all patients attend classes before entering into the treatment rooms. Our philosophy is also to involve the Hondurans in a partnership relationship. They usually make up approx. 50% of our entire clinic staff.
