Mission: Our mission, in partnership with the City of San Diego, is to preserve and protect the natural environment of Mission Trails Regional Park and to provide and promote educational and recreational opportunities.
Programs:
Explore Mission Trails Day is an annual event with a themeof introducing children to nature. Thiscelebration highlights everything MissionTrails Regional Parkhas to offer and features guided nature walks, talks and programs throughoutthe park, including live animals and special programs for children. The SanDiego Natural History Museum brings Scholastic Publishing’s Ms. Frizzle™ andThe Magic Schoolbus© to a special program for children at the Visitor andInterpretive Center Amphitheater. Thereare also free pony rides and children's crafts at the Equestrian Staging Area. This annual event is a joint project ofMission Trails Regional Park Foundation and the City of San Diego Park andRecreation Department.
