I worked at MCH as a summer intern this year. The love that the entire MCH has for the communities is one that is amazing! There was not one day that I would not the Father do his mighty work at Joy and Gano centers. I love talking about Houston so much, my friends are probably tired of hearing my stories. Thank you MCH for making this summer the best I’ve ever had!

As a missionary intern over the summer 2019, Mission Centers of Houston thrives to serve the people of Houston,TX. They serve every person you can think of from Homeless people, disabled people, young children and teenagers, and even senior adults. I really had a amazing experience at MCH, they help missionary interns who are college students get a feel of and hands on experience with their majors in college. We had students majoring in Education who primarily worked with kids, students majoring in Business worked with getting in touch with people of the community, and students who majored in Music got a chance to share worship opportunities with the community. MCH provides the physical and spiritual needs of people living in Houston’s inner city. They change lives with the love, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ.

My name is Franky Lizardo, and I got to serve as a summer missionary at MCH. Before I even got to the center the love of Christ radiated from the Director and his wife as they prepared to receive us. This is a place where the Lord is active and transforming the hearts of people through their obedience. The people these centers serve are not only met with physical needs, but also spiritual provision. Mission Centers of Houston definitely helped me grow in my walk with Christ through the people of the community, and the servants put in authority. Who emphasize prayer precedes everything they do, demonstrating their full reliance on God.

I was able to spend 2 months at the Mission Centers as a missionary intern and it was my favorite summer ever. I was trained to be a missionary by people who not only want to help you succeed with your task ,but want to see you grow spiritually. The people of MCH also have such a heart for the communities they serve.

I came to Mission Centers in the summer of 2017 as a summer intern, and those two months were probably some of the best months of my life. The crew at Mission Centers is so in love with the Lord and the communities they serve. It's a great thing to experience, and they treat each other like family. I have made some life-long friends because of that. Before this summer, I would not have considered children's ministry to be my forte. Kids and I just didn't get along, but this summer God took that weakness and used it for His strength, and He does that all year long with the full-time staff and volunteers that are at Mission Centers throughout the year. God is definitely moving in that place and in those communities, and I am certainly blessed to have been able to be a part of their team, even if for a short while.

I have been volunteering with MCH for a few months now. Jeff and Cheryl Chadwick, and the other staff members, truly care about the communities in which they work. The MIssion Centers serve the community in so many different ways, from food and clothing pantries, to Kid's and Youth Clubs, to Senior Adult activities, there is always something going on. These are programs that occur weekly, not to mention the special projects they do during holidays and other times of the year. On top of that, MCH has been heavily involved in disaster relief since Hurricane Harvey- housing volunteers from out of town and partnering with them in helping Houston recover. It's been a joy to work with them as they proclaim Christ in word and deed.

Recently I helped some families that were affected with hurricane Harvey and Mission Centers of Houston was in the front lines helping families get back into their homes. This holiday season families are looking for a hope and MCH has been the hands and feet people are seeking. I would recommend folks to come and check out MCH and learn more of how they too can impact the Houston community. CSolis

My name is Ella Svirida and I spent last summer serving at Missions Centers of Houston. I think one of the biggest lessons I learned was to understand how God uses the weaknesses I have to bring him glory. I saw him use me in so many ways through this center because of all the prayers that covered the team and the centers. I know that at MCH everything is covered in prayer and God is moving in so many ways. This summer we built so many relationships with the teens and kids there that we couldn't have done alone. I know that the trip to Houston changed me and as I came back home God is constantly reminding me of the truths I learned there and I find so much encouragement in that. I am so thankful for this center.

A group of us stayed at MCH during a trip to help with post-Harvey relief. The staff demonstrated nothing but above-and-beyond hospitality to our group, even cooking/sharing dinner with us our last night there. It was great to hear their heart behind the various ministries they put on; they are true servants of the Lord. We were even offered a place to stay if we ever returned to Houston; should I ever return to Houston, I know I have friends there.

I've never met an organization that so deeply cares for its community as this one does. They see a need, and they do their absolute best to fill it. Every time I go in and volunteer, it's me that's changed the most! What an awesome place.

I first came to mission centers of houston(MCH) in 2015 as a summer missionary for 2 months. That summer would change my life, it would expose me to a whole world outside of North Mississippi where I am from and would open my eyes to the life of inner city communities. I would meet friends that would help me to see what I wanted to do with my life, which is working ministry and helping others, I would serve the community through homeless ministries, through a food pantry and through after school summer programs with kids from 4-18. MCH is a place that has forever changed my life and a place I will always look back on fondly

I wanted to thank you again for hosting our men's team from HHBC in early October.   It was a huge blessing for us to be able to stay at such an exceptionally nice facility that was close to the neighborhood where we were working.   Jeff Chadwick took time to host us for dinner two separate nights and made sure we had breakfast each morning.   I expected to be camping out on the floor but was surprised to have a bunk and nice shower to enjoy each evening.   The Lord used you in a powerful way to help us find families that needed our help as well as facilitating the process.   You are a blessing!

Summer 2014 I spent 10 weeks at MCH as a summer missionary. This time completely changed my life and it gave me a chance to learn and enhance my leadership skills. MCH will always hold a special place in my heart. I LOVED my time there!

I came into town to do some volunteer hurricane clean-up. MCH was a wonderful host to me and our entire group. They were generous with their provisions--and they did all they could to make us feel home away from home. While I didn't know a lot about them before our trip, I came away very impressed by their heart for the people of Houston. They really do care for this city and want to do whatever they can to serve the needy of this city. They are doing outstanding work--and I'd encourage others to partner with them in whatever ways they can.

We weren't exactly sure what to expect when we were directed to the Mission Centers of Houston during a recent flood relief trip. Our team was graciously welcomed and cared for throughout our stay (even when we initially arrived very late at night.)

We were provided with clean bunks, hot showers, and generous access to the kitchen. This was a great arrangement for us as we were gone before sunrise and returned well after sundown each night. Having a place to crash, run by such gracious and welcoming hosts was a true blessing for us and allowed us to focus on our task at hand. They prepared dinner for us during our last night in town and were a pleasure to get to know better.

What makes this all the more impressive is that none of this is the core of what they do everyday - this was just them opening their doors and being who they are. Grateful for their partnership!

This non-profit is awesome. They are really in the business of helping the community .They teach kids and mothers about God. I volunteered with this organization and they are so hospitable and ready to welcome you with the Love of God. The families that they help in the communities are less fortunate and its nice to see that they actual take time to minister and help them grow
