Mission: To promote the interest of agriculture, horticulture, arts and sciences through a fair setting which helps provide entertainment that draws people from the outside to experience what the youth has accomplished.
Programs: The livestock sale is held at the end of the fair for the youth participants and is part of the final process in our goal to encourage the youth to learn about agriculture. The youth purchase their animals and learn during the year how to care for them in the areas of feeding, maintaining a clean environment as well as working with their animals to be able to show them before a judge. The final part of the learning process is selling their animal. The youth learn how to present both their animals as well as themselves. The confidence, leadership, farm management skills, to list a few, are all skills that the youth gain from participating. The youth learn from each other and learn about other animals that they do not have themselves.
