Mission: Misión Despegue INC is a 5O1(c) (3) non-profit organization deeply committed to preventing, educating, and raising awareness of our youth’s challenges and risks. Our mission is to empower Spanish-speaking families by sharing knowledge, encouraging them to find their voice and get involved in their children’s education to reduce violence, suicides, and substance abuse.
Mision Despegue has been helping my daughter for over a year. My wife lives in our home country in Central America, and the organization provides constant follow up on my now 14-year-old to make sure she doesn't get involved in drugs, she is very aware of the social media danger and is also available when my daughter is having a breakdown. More importantly, they call me to make sure I keep an eye on her and get involve in her life. My beautiful daughter play soccer and this organization pay for the fees, uniforms and anything related to her wellbeing. She also volunteers with them; I am grateful for their support. Omar Leon
