The nonprofit’s 501(c)(3) status shows as revoked on the IRS site from 2020 to 2023, yet they continued to solicit donations online under the guise of a nonprofit during that time. This rescue very rarely adopts dogs out, and has taken in more dogs than they can properly care for according to its Facebook page. The pictures shared by the rescue show extremely dirty conditions in the facility, with feces and urine everywhere, the founder’s personal junk (he lives in the facility), and piles and piles of dirty laundry that the dogs and founder sleep in. Check out @misfithounds138 on Facebook to see for yourself. This rescue should be shut down.
