We love the Miracle League of Palm Beach County!! My son is 7yrs old, Autistic and non-verbal, and he is able to play Baseball, for FREE!!! And the best part is, HE LOVES IT!! All thanks to the Miracle League of Palm Beach County, kids with special needs are able to play a sport, and the parents don’t have to stress about being able to afford it!! Not only do they include our child, they include us too, and we are forever grateful for all the amazing miracle workers, volunteers and sponsors for making this possible for our boy, and all the special needs kids!! May God continue to bless this amazing team of angels in the outfield!!
Stephanie is in the Autism Spectrum, and she was very excited when a cheer team was developed to participate in as it is her favorite activity and she had done it before. She had done the baseball was happier in the cheer squad so thank you!
Miracle League of Palm Beach County has been the only sport activity that our son with autism has loved over the years. We have tried numerous other activities but this one is the only one he wants to return to season after season. The coaches are great and really care about the kids and young adult participants. Coach Julia is truly an angel sent from above in the way she connects with all the participants no matter what type of ability.
Our son Domenick has been playing in the Miracle League for several seasons. Dom is in a wheelchair & when he 1st started he wasn’t able to get out of his chair to run the bases. Each season since we have increased his base running & now he can walk the bases with the help of assistance.
The passion & enthusiasm of the coaches, volunteers, fans & even other players has motivated Dom (& us)to push his limits & we are so very thankful for that!!!
Everyone deserves a chance to play & the Miracle League has provided that for Dom.
The Miracle League of Palm Beach County has been such a huge part of our lives! Our son Carson loves playing for the team & feeling just like his big cousin who plays baseball in college now. It’s the highlight of our week!
Great organization! Volunteers are wonderful. Even during COVID-19, the Miracle League scheduled activities for their athletes and families which kept everyone safe and allowed our kids to participate in sports and outdoor activities.
I registered my son, 5 years old at the time, for the inaugural season of the MLPBC. It is the best special needs program I have found, my son has played every season for a total of 24. The founders, the Kadels, are the most dedicated, accepting, flexible, and caring people that I have ever met. The players and their families are treated like they are family. They are extremely accommodating and supportive. My daughter is his buddy in the program, and she has been trained as a buddy to not just assist but be a friend to all of the players. The mlpbc works diligently to raise money so anyone who wants to play can play for free. The league has more than doubled since it started. It brings such joy to so many special needs individuals and their families. The best way to spend a Saturday. We love the MLPBC!
My son was first exposed to this amazing program in 6th grade. He volunteered to help out one Saturday and (part of a school requirement) he was so impressed (at age 12) that he decided to volunteer as a Buddy the next season and chose to make the Miracle League the recipient of his Bar Mitzvah Service project. We set up a website and he asked people to make a donation in his name, in lieu of Bar Mitzvah gifts. It was a very humbling experience. Through his efforts, he introduced a friend to Miracle League and she has been a committed volunteer too, raising nearly $50,000 in award money, to support building an inclusive playground. My son is now in 10th grade, still volunteers and currently is working on a special project to expand to this program. Hopefully he will be able to get the program up and running by the fall. Julia and Jeff Kadel, the founders of this organization, are committed beyond words. So happy that we have had the opportunity to be a small part of unique program.
The minute you step on the field you feel it. The love and opportunities offered as well as given to children of all abilities is to be commended and recognized. You feel the joy the children are receiving by the empowerment provided to them to "play ball" just like their more abled counterparts. No matter their ability or talent they are part of an uplifting and encouraging Team. The group of volunteers who run this incredible organization are second to none. A beacon of light in our community. Thank you!
We love the Miracle League of PBC! This wonderful grass-roots organization makes it possible for ALL children to play baseball, cheer, dance, and just be kids!! Our Coach Kadel and family are true angels—they put their heart and souls into making this league possible for our community. Please join us and see the miracles that kindness and inclusion can make for these children and their families.
I have volunteered with the Miracle League for several years now and consider it to be one of the best nonprofits in our community. Week after week, year after year, I get to witness the love, joy, and humility of angels and special needs children joining together on a specially designed baseball field to play ball. It not only provides an opportunity for special needs children to be part of something bigger than themselves but it inspires hope and a sense of belonging. Everyone's a winner at a Miracle League baseball game. the children, the volunteers, and our great community of Delray Beach.
My experience with The Miracle League of Delray Beach has been impactful and amazing. I have derived tremendous hope and positivity participating in the games and being a buddy. I eagerly look forward to the Saturday games. Cheering, running, clapping, and even shedding a few tears at Miracle League games are the highlights of my week. I personally find volunteering with the Miracle League to be so rewarding. Thank you so much, Coach Kadel, for being an inspirational role model and an advocate for all of the children.
Field of Dreams! Everyone is capable at The Miracle League of Delray Beach. Thank you for creating a community that embraces ALL participants--players, parents, spectators, staff, and volunteers. There are no words to describe the utter joy in watching a Miracle League game. On the field success translates to positive impacts in everyday life for everyone-acceptance, self-esteem, teamwork, and beyond.
This organization has been able to uniquely bring together volunteers from the community, players with special needs plus their fans, to make us one large family each Saturday afternoon. You can feel the excitement and love in the air! I have been a volunteer since it's inception, along with my husband & daughter. We have watched the players grow through the years and have formed wonderful relationships with the players and their families. There is no place more magical than a Saturday afternoon on the "Miracle Field".
God bless The Miracle League of Delray Beach, FL. Our granddaughter, Dinah Ruvolo, has been playing ball with this wonderful group since Spring 2013 & absolutely loves her baseball. Finally, she has something she 'can' do & be part of an amazing team of kids like her. God bless Julia & Jeff Kadel & family for establishing The Miracle League of Delray Beach & allowing these very special kids a way to soar beyond their dreams.
I personally have never been more happy with my donations of time and $ in my long life as I am with the Miracle League....If you could just once go and watch a game you're going to get a wonderful feeling after watching the pure joy on these children's faces by including them in this baseball league which is geared just for them 5 stars!!
The miracle of the Miracle League of Delray Beach is the way it touches everyone who touches it. From the special needs players who are stars on the baseball diamond, to the angels in the field who get to play with them. From the coaches who have a chance to make a difference in a player's life that every coach dreams of making, to the parents who get to watch their kids smile, laugh and most of all succeed.
