We have adopted 2 cats from their foster program. From the leadership of the organization to the foster care, it was clear that the utmost attention was given to well being of the cats. Their vetting process is thorough to ensure cats are placed in loving and safe homes. We had adopted from another rescue group previously and while the experience was good, their vetting process was not nearly as thorough. Reading stories about pets who land in the wrong homes, it is critical for rescue organizations to thoroughly research potential homes. Our cats are healthy and happy and we are so happy to have them as part of our family!
Review from Guidestar
Do your research before assuming that this is a legitimate organization with the best interest of animals in mind. There are many organizations operating under the "Humane Society" name that are not affiliiated. This one has no ties to the national Humane Society of the US or to the legitimate Animal Humane Society in Minnesota. This group seems to exist to (a) collect donations, and (b) sell products. If you attempt to volunteer or seek to adopt a pet, they try to steer you to donating or buying something and do not seem to actually have the pets they advertise. They also discriminate against non-traditional families - if you are not straight, married, and have children, they quickly dismiss you.
