Causes: Birth Defects & Genetic Diseases Research, Health
Mission: To raise awareness in the greater phoenix jewish community regarding jewish genetic diseases and to educate about tragic disorders. The center provides affordable carrier testing so that no jewish family in our community will need to endure the grief and suffering of losing a child to a preventable genetic disease.
Programs: We provided genetic pre-natal testing to 79 individuals at no cost to them in 2017. We put on free educational seminars for over 300 people during the year. We have changed our testing kit from blood draw to saliva and will now be able increase our offerings to more people in 2018.
