Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Environment, Water, Water Resources, Wetlands Conservation & Management
Mission: Our mission is to protect water quality and wildlife habitat in the river corridors and to advocate for sound land use in the Milwaukee, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic River Watersheds. We envision a future in which people from all walks of life can enjoy the healthy waterways of the Milwaukee River Basin.
Results: We have trained over 200 volunteers to test water quality in the region, making our water monitoring program the largest in the state. This year we organized over 3,000 volunteers who cleaned thousands of pounds of trash from area rivers.
