Mardu, Ron, and Bob are a fantastic team helping veterans both by partnering them with dogs that help them deal with PTSD and by also looking at them as a whole person and being willing to help them connect with other resources they could use to improve their lives. To say that the Military Animal Project is life-changing is an understatement to the impact they have on Veterans' lives.
Wow, what a fantastic organization. I'm an organizer for a memorial run of our fallen heroes and support of our veterans. Military Animal Project means so much to our Veterans and they give vital support to those really in need.
In speaking with Veterans that have taken advantage of their services and their dogs, it helps them navigate life in a more secure, productive way.
This is such an important organization. Please support them and our Vets.
Thank you Military Animal Project!!! For all you do to support our Vets.
MAP is awesome, my rep from Nations Finest gave me their number on a Wednesday and they had a mobile vet at my house that weekend who did surgery to remove a cancer tumor on his hip. I don't what I would do without either one of those groups...
I am a Past Commandant from President Ronald Reagan Detachment 597 of Simi Valley, California, and Past Commandant for the State of California, Marine Corps League. I have been involved with a number of pet projects ranging from dogs for handicapped veterans to small horses that take care of Veterans with Mental Health issues. I have known Mardu Lydick for almost 10 years and I have never met anyone more dedicated to helping veterans as she is. I strongly recommend the Military Animal Project to any veterans organization whose main vision is to help veterans in need. I have seen these dogs work, which is unbelievable in what they are trained to do.
I’m the spouse of a client/veteran served and I’ve seen first hand how this amazing organization changes lives! We’ve been blessed with my husband’s service dog, Monty, for 5 years now. The care and continued support from MAP has been nothing short of outstanding! The “relationship training” that Monty went through was incredible and helped to form a very special bond between him and my husband like nothing I’ve ever seen. It has given my husband a renewed sense of purpose and continues to help him in so many ways! ~Very grateful spouse!
Since the beginning of my relationship with MAP, the team has been amazing in their Outreach and Community Veterans involvement. They are a willing participant in all things Veteran and a worthy non profit organization for your generous donations.
The team from MAP are truly something special. MAP has gone above and beyond for Veterans in need and continues to assist in the recovery of our military. They provide a service that is well needed for many and do it with excellence that most can't achieve. The mission of MAP is one out of compassion, love, and respect for the Veteran community.
They assisted one of our veterans in his time of need when his dog needed a medical procedure. They connected him to a wonderful veterinarian who did his dog's procedure pro bono. This impacted our veteran and his dog Titus greatly and Titus was quickly on the mend. Thanks Military Animal Project for your excellence!
I have worked as a volunteer at the Reno ranch and witnessed first hand the impact that the Equine program has had on our veterans. I never believed such a profound impact was possible in such a short time. The co-founder families have enormous hearts and give 100% of themselves to this organization's mission.
I have been volunteering with MAP for only a couple of months but have found my home! MAP's communication with and appreciation of their volunteers is outstanding. The mission and vision of MAP is close to my heart and supporting MAP's events has enriched my life tremendously. Whether you are an animal lover or not you will find an opportunity to support veterans in a most meaningful way, changing their lives and your own.
This group provides a unique opportunity for servicemen and women to interact with dogs at picnics, cemeteries, in workplace settings, and at military installations. The dogs offer their unconditional love and relish the attention from the participants, and those that we visit seem to thoroughly enjoy the exchange. The dogs are all registered therapy dogs, well trained not to jump, bark, or otherwise disrupt the activities occurring during our visits. It's a joyful event for all.
I just recently joined volunteering for MAP. What is not to like; horses, dogs and vets! People really like that 85% of dogs come from shelters.
When our Family was in great need after flooding and fire on our property, my husband who is a 100% Disabled Marine Veteran contacted his Marine Corps friends at the Marine Corps League who directed us to MAP. Military Animal Project was the only organization that came to our aid! They helped us to regrade our property for water mitigation. We are grateful to MAP’s support and friendship. We also watched them make a significant difference in other Veteran’s lives by providing them a much needed service dog. MAP has our full support.
I had the pleasure to be associated with Mardu & Ron when they were organizing for Pets For Vets.
I will say that Mardu & Ron show their true love for their concern for these trained dogs for our Vets. As a Veteran myself I found myself totally entranced in them because of their true commitment to dogs and the veterans.
MAP is very FORTUNATE to have these two to give their time to such an important cause.
OUR VETS AND DOGS. Dogs are truly man's best friend.
MAP is one of the greatest organizations I can proudly say I have volunteered with. They will do whatever it takes to help a veteran and an animal. Also Mardu and Bob are great and I’m very grateful that I experienced working with the both of them.
Bob & Mardu (owners/facilitators) will bend over backwards and stand on their heads if it will help any Veteran (or animal) recover the emotional and pyshical trauma of serving our country.
I have experienced firsthand how Military Animal Project (MAP) has helped many veterans find a “purpose” again with the care and love of a four legged buddy!
MAP’s personnel take the time to understand the veterans issues, and personalizes the pet to meet their needs to heal.
MAP helped to change my life by providing me a service dog named Monty. Mardu and Bob took painstaking time to make sure the animal I received and I were compatible and boy they nailed it. Monty is with me 24 hours a day seven days a week we have been to three different countries and about half of the states including Hawaii. I can’t thank military animal project enough for making my life better. Semper Fi.
