Miles Perret Cancer Services has supported thousands of cancer patients in Acadiana for over 20 years. In addition to furnishing medical supplies, nutritional supplements and wellness programs at no charge to their patients, they provide care, compassion, and hope to those fighting cancer. It is truly an honor to be a volunteer affiliated with their organization.

After receiving excellent supportive help from Miles Perret Cancer Services, I decided to volunteer my time there because I truly believed in the program. Now ten years later, I am still volunteering and witnessing its continued positive impact for so many people in need.

I am privileged to be a part of the Miles Perret volunteer group. My granddaughter received services from Miles Perret and the staff was very supportive and understanding. The center has a very profound impact on families in need and the Service Coordinators are very professional and compassionate when helping clients during a very difficult time in their lives. Clients I have spoken with are very appreciative of the services they receive.

After retiring from banking, I turned to Miles Perret Cancer Services to volunteer. I had no idea the scope of assistance the wonderful staff provided to cancer patients. The staff helps patients and their families navigate their way through the treatment phase and recovery. The Wellness Center also plays a big part in the recovery process, both physically and mentally. It is truly gratifying to see the level of care and compassion provided by the team at MPCS.

It was such a blessing to have Miles Perret Cancer Services reach out to our family. As a mom, having a child diagnosed with cancer at four years old, they truly made me feel like there was hope. We are so blessed to have a resource like Miles Perret in the Acadiana community.

When my husband was diagnosed with cancer over 10 years ago, I visited Miles Perret Cancer services to obtain material and help. Unfortunately, he didn’t live long enough to receive their services but at that visit I clearly saw the valuable services they were providing to cancer patients. As a volunteer, my absolute appreciation and gratitude for what they do in serving so many battling this disease has made me so aware of how much of a need there is for their services. Volunteering has also given me so much, helping prepare fundraisers has made me feel that I’m giving back and I’m doing something so worthwhile. Miles Perret is truly a remarkable nonprofit organization serving a large part of South Louisiana.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I felt overwhelmed and not sure what direction I was going to take from my recovery with cancer. That’s when Miles Perret cancer Services was there to help and guide me through my difficult time with cancer. They not only offered me supplies that I would need, but also vital information and helpful services from the Wellness Center. It became a place where I could relate to other cancer patients and stay positive and have the courage to persevere and believe that I was not alone with a cancer diagnosis.
