Mission: As the preeminent LGBT instrumental music organization of the Rocky Mountain region, the Mile High Freedom Band performs musical events that engage, excite, educate, and entertain audiences and develops performers of all abilities. The Mile High Freedom Band is committed to making a positive contribution to the LGBT and other communities through its performances and activities.
Geographic areas served: Denver, Colorado and the Front Range of the Rocky Mountain Region.
Programs: Musical performance for the denver community including: the concert band performs four concerts each year that include a winter and spring concert, a summertime melodies of pride free outdoor concert, and a halloween, family-oriented cabaret spooktacular! ! Spooktacular! ! ; the marching band marches in three regular parades each year; the denver st. Patrick's day parade, the denver pride parade, and the denver pridefest children's parade; and the freedom swing band performs four concerts each year that include a spring, summer and fall concert, and a wintertime mardi gras-theme oriented concert. Freedom swing also performs paid gigs on as as-needed basis in the denver metro area.
