Causes: Health, Organ & Tissue Banks
Mission: The eye bank supports corneal and scleral transplantation
Programs: Corneas and sclera for transplant. Bills are prepared for all cornea and sclera transplants. Unusable corneas and sclera are used for research. A portion of expenses are used to educate the public on the need to be organ donors. Revenue includes reimbursement from other tissue banks which share the lab cost if they are able to use other tissues from the donor.
