Causes: Nonprofit Management
Mission: To strengthen nonprofit organizations by improving communication, sharing ideas and information and providing expertise on topics of mutual interest.
Programs: Program service accomplishments: in 2014 mwnn offered 6 half-day workshops (3 stand alone and 1 three-part workshop) to 115 nonprofit professionals in the metrowest area on topics of broad interest across the sector (fundraising, technology, communications, financial reporting, nonprofit management). Mwnn hosted a massachusetts nonprofit network regional roundtable and continued to offer bi-annual networking events and monthly breakfasts to smaller staffed nonprofits to strengthen connections and share knowledge and resources within the sector. In may 2014 mwnn convened a "meet the funders" event featuring funders and experts from family foundations and donor-advised funds. The panelists helped more than 68 nonprofit professionals better understand how to connect with donors who are interested in supporting their organization's mission.
