Mission: To preserve and promote affordable housing, support economic development and build support for community development.
Programs: Metro west cd seeks to develop and operate 100 units of affordable housing within its 21-town geographic focus by the year 2017. Real estate development activities include pre-development feasibility analysis, coordination of preliminary assessments from architects, civil and environmental engineers and appraisers.
metro west cd provides referrals to households in search of affordable housing. We also coordinate lotteries and tenant/buyer selection on behalf of developers of affordable housing throughout massachusetts.
metro west cd seeks to engage residents in local planning and decision making that effects their neighborhoods. Most recently metro west cd involved over 300 residents in a survey resulting in the creation of housing production plans in belmont, lexington, and watertown.
