Programs: Areas of Greatest Need One of the most valuable ways to give is to donate to the “Area of Greatest Need.” This allows the Foundation and the hospital to work together to identify areas of need that are not necessarily being addressed with other campaign efforts. These needs might include acute care for uninsured and underinsured, innovative equipment, expansion of services to a particular segment of the population, or investment in technology that is not otherwise being funded. In 2025, the Foundation has committed to raise $1.3M to supplement the resources from Methodist Health System. Surgical Services have grown exponentially over the past decade. This growth reflects the growing need of our community but also the demand for the high level of care that patients receive from our surgical teams. Our Operating Rooms are at capacity requiring immediate expansion. With over 93% of the project cost coming from Methodist Health System, the Foundation is seeking public support to raise $1.3M to add two fully equipped operating rooms plus one additional shell space. Operating Rooms save lives. Behavior Health Our Behavior Health program provides both inpatient and outpatient adult psychiatric services, adult chemical dependency services, and a multidisciplinary behavioral health and addiction recovery team. Our team is working to expand outpatient services to offer the most ideal care. Center for Surgery and Digestive Diseases Methodist Richardson Medical Center is leading efforts to develop a comprehensive, patient-centered facility for diagnosis and management of hepatobiliary (HPB) cancers and other digestive disorders. A first for North Texas, this center will bring together world renowned surgeons, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, radiologists, oncologists, a team of specialized nurses, and other healthcare providers dedicated to the long-term care of patients with digestive disorders. Comprehensive Cancer Care By giving to this fund, you will help provide full wrap-around cancer care for our patients.
