Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Family Counseling, Financial Counseling, Human Services, Leadership Development, Single Parent Agencies

Mission: We see each person as someone created by God with purpose and ability. We believe people don''t want to be needy; they simply have not found God''s direction for His provision. They don''t need to be rescued. They need caring people to come along side them and help them improve their circumstances. The tools we offer empower leaders to help families overcome obstacles to success. Although our tools will help any low-income or needy family, we recognize single parents as the most disadvantaged. The proportion of female-headed families with children in poverty is considerably higher than any other population group, including senior adults.Over half the single mother households in poverty today will be in poverty seven years or more.In Georgia alone, 75% of children living in poverty live in single mother households. While churches are a resource for many needy families, it is not a resource for most single parents as 95% of the single parent population does not attend church regularly. This is a tremendous outreach opportunity for churches and organizations with a vision to reach this basically un-churched population. If each church in America put the principles we teach into practice, we would see dynamic changes in the families served, such as*Decreased dependence on government assistance.*Lowered absenteeism and improvement in job skills and advancement.*Skills in handling resources and hope for improvement. *Social, emotional, and spiritual encouragement, connection, and support through a faith-based community.*Practical support and help with pressing concerns and needs.
