I am a combat Veteran of Iraq and when I returned home from that conflict, I knew something was different about me. This organization helped provide a means to travel to and from in order for me to get the help I much needed to stay alive! Thank you Mercy!!!

Air Compassion for Veterans (ACV) made possible my travel from California to New Orleans, LA back in 2010 in order to receive Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment for a 2003 bomb blast I received in Iraq that resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). As a result of the philanthropy of ACV/MMA and others, and through the skill of Dr. Paul Harch, I was largely healed and returned to a high level of productivity. I was privileged in 2013 to speak at the 7th annual gathering of Halo's and Hero's and to thank the involved members as well as Dr. Paul Harch for facilitating my being who I am today.
Respectfully Submitted,
LtCol Alan G. Burghard, Sr USMC (Ret.)
As a donor and board member, I am continually amazed by the stories of people who Mercy Medical Angels helps obtain transportation to medical treatment that would otherwise not be available or affordable. The servant leadership of its President and CEO, Robb Alpaugh, and hard work by the staff, truly inspires confidence in this ministry that helps so many among others, military veterans and families and other folks with serious medical needs. I am proud to be associated with it in any way!
