Mission: MERCI provides essential instruction to developmentally disabled adults in the areas of self-care and independent living skills, prevocational/vocational training and recreation/socialization.
Programs: Adult development center and day training and activity program: teaches independent living/socialization skills through a variety of structured activities. Clients are taken on outings into the community to become acclimated to everyday situations. Extended services program: supplemental hours for clients needing early morning/late afternoon care. Mobile day progam: merci staff travel to the homes of medically fragile clients to provide clients the opportunity to work on independent living skills and community involvement. Serves clients throughout the east los angeles and san gabriel valley areas.
ernie's place is a group home that provides 24 hour care for up to 6 adults with developmental disabilities. The staff at ernie's place ensure that every resident's needs are met as well as working individually with them to accomplish their own individual goals. The residents take frequent trips into the community and benefit from numerous lessons in independent living.
