Mission: FrontLine Service reaches out to those throughout Cuyahoga County who are homeless, struggling with mental health issues or thoughts of suicide, or whose lives have been devastated by violence in their own home or community. Our programs focus on meeting the needs of marginalized, minority, and underserved populations—including those for whom traditional, office-based services are not effective. FrontLine's Mission is: Reaching out to adults and children in Northeast Ohio to end homelessness, prevent suicide, resolve behavioral health crises, and overcome trauma.

Programs: Homeless Services : FrontLine provides the largest continuum of homeless services in Ohio, including coordinated intake for Cuyahoga County’s shelter system; street outreach; supportive services for young adults and men with disabilities residing in emergency shelters; landlord-tenant mediation; case management; employment; rapid rehousing for individuals and families; permanent supportive housing; integrated healthcare and outreach nursing; and a full spectrum of prevention and support for adults (at risk of) experiencing homelessness. Crisis Services: FrontLine is the designated provider of Cuyahoga County’s 24/7 telephone, online chat, and in-person wellness checks for children and adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis or contemplating suicide, as well as short-term residential crisis stabilization services. In July 2022, FrontLine launched Cuyahoga County’s adoption of the new, national 988 suicide prevention hotline. Justice Services: FrontLine partners with the Cleveland Division of Police and Oriana House to provide mental health/police co-response for behavioral health crises dispatched through 911. FrontLine also provides re-entry mediation for families of fathers who are incarcerated at the Community Based Correctional Facility, as well as reentry services for individuals at risk of homelessness after exciting Cuyahoga County Jail, city jails within the county, or the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Trauma Services: FrontLine’s licensed clinicians provide crisis resolution and therapeutic interventions for children who have experienced domestic violence or a traumatic death such as homicide (referred by local police); assessment and supportive services to families who have experienced trauma (referred by Division of Children & Family Services); and support for children who have an incarcerated parent (referred by Community-Based Correctional Facility). In 2021, FrontLine launched a new program to help children impacted by the death of a parent/caregiver to opioid overdose to overcome their trauma.
