Whether your military experience was good or bad, regardless of why you joined, when you come home, often times you're not the same as when you left. As glad as you are to be home, even when you're with blood family, you still feel like you're alone, cut off. Finding this group helped. I don't participate in every event, but knowing there were people in my community who could relate in some way was a pretty good feeling.
Not many things made me feel good and welcomed when I came back home. But being part of this group and seeing the difference they wanted to make for vets and their families, that's what makes a group amazing. MAV is amazing with and for the community, and the people make me feel at home. Couldn't be happier to have this organization in my life and community.

There will never be a moment in my life that I will regret my service for this country. And it's moments like these that make it all the more special. As soon as I joined the March, I was welcomed as family, because that's what we are. We stuck together and cared for one another. It was a great group set up by amazing people. There are loads of people who don't focus on the cause of which we marched for, but when there is a big group of us, I promise we can make enough noise yo be heard. I loved every second of this, and I will always stand behind MAV.
