I met Melissa years ago when she worked with the local animal shelter in our area. she cared so much for each individual animal and took such great care of the kittens there. I have nothing but the up most respect for her and her nonprofit organization. she truly is a gift to the community with all her hard work❤️

This rescue is often the first to step up and offer help in our community when someone finds a pregnant cat or a mother cat with kittens. They work tirelessly to help get our feral cat population under control. My daughter has one of their rescues who had been abused and lost her eye. This rescue got her the veterinary care she needed. I am tremendously thankful to have this rescue in our community.

Melissa is an asset to our community because she continues to battle the overpopulation problem we have by TNR. Also she has cared for many helpless babies.

Have you ever met anyone that has such a passion for something? Melissa is one of them people. A married woman with a family that still does anything she can for these beautiful animals. That’s a passion, waking up everyday hoping you can change the life of a cat one cat at a time. She connects with every cat she cares for, she loves every cat she cares for. I feel deep down if she could keep them all she would. She’s not just doing this because she has to, or because it’s a hobby, or even because it’s the right thing to do, she does this because she LOVES doing it. That’s passion, and there’s no price tag on something like that. We all wish we could do the work she does, but we all have excuses. There’s this there’s that. That’s what separates Melissa from us, the passion for these cats. Theres a small population of amazing people like Melissa, and the fact that I have had the opportunity to meet her makes me feel blessed

Melissa is a true professional and is performing a wonderful service for the community. I've had the pleasure of working beside her for several years now, and am always amazed at the dedication and selflessness she displays each and every day. The stray, feral, and otherwise unowned cats in Marion County are lucky to have someone like her looking out for them!

The understanding and compassion I experienced from Melissa Bell's Rescue was heartwarming. I felt these bundles of fur were safe in their care, I help cats who find me,and I knew I had reached the limits of my ability to help them outside and prevent litters as well as help them be healthier. My group was challenging, their kitty Mama brought them to me for help and food.They were not afraid of me, but of others they were. Melissa saw this and successfully helped me help them. We trapped, spayed and neutered them all. They are doing so well, they are happy and almost like a cat you would have in the house with me.Melissa and Jeff went the extra mile to help these cats and by doing so.took away a huge burden from me.We successfully stopped the cycle of kittens and the risks that happen with them.
I did not choose for the cats to arrive at my door, but I am glad they did, they are healthy. The communication between us was wonderful, the compassion and skill were amazing. I truly am thankful for them, they helped me help the ones who needed me, but I felt stuck as to what else I could do. I truly believe they are wonderful and noone is like them. A plan was worked out a plan for us..time was spent for us helping to save lives.

I met Melissa a little over a year ago when a stray cat we were very close to had 6 babies and I had no clue what to do with all of them! Ever since then, she’s continued to help me with other strays in my colony and has made being the neighborhood cat lady a breeze! We’ve got about 98% of our colony spayed/neutered, and I couldn’t have done it without her help!

I've been following Melissa's rescue for a while now, she has helped people I know with stray cats in our area. I love seeing her release the TNR'd cats back out to live better lives and to stop the suffering cycle! I wish we had many more people with a heart like she has. I consider her a blessing.

Melissa went above the call of duty to help with a very large inside crowding case involving many cats. She quickly, humanely, and professionally helped capture 20+ cats for spay and neuter.

Great non profit.
They help with spay/neuter/TNR of cats and kittens in our community. They also provide transportation to and from the clinics for surgery.

I follow Melissa Bell's Rescue, Inc. on facebook and this is one of the best in Marion county. They work hard to save all the babies that come to this facility. "Can't help but feel for all the animals. Overall they are doing what they can with what they have. The staff can only do so much." Again this is a Great facility you can tell they care about each and every one of their rescues.

Caring, friendly and always willing to help (or refer if they can’t) Melissa is dedicated to her passion which is saving kitties! Kudos for a great job and caring heart ❤️ we and the kitties appreciate all your hard work!

What Melissa and the team does at the rescue is absolutely amazing! She is determined to make sure all strays are trapped, spayed or neutered and then released. She also does amazing work with the kittens to make sure they are taken care of medically. Melissa has such a huge heart and spends so much of her own money to make sure all the kittens and cats are saved no matter how bad of shame she receives them and finds the perfect homes for them. The world would be a much better place if everyone had the heart that Melissa has. I highly recommend supporting her rescue.
