i applied a month ago but still have not recieved a response. they said they reply back in 1-3 days i even emailed HR and insta but nothing. horrible.
After hearing so much about what a wonderful organization this is, I was delighted and decided to apply for a couple of positions. I applied on Wednesday, August 24th, and was told I would receive a response within 1-3 days, no matter if I got accepted or not. A week passed with no response, and I emailed their HR department. Another week passed with no response, and I filled out the form at the bottom of the website in order to get in contact with them. The website clearly states "We will respond to you as soon as we can (typically in one business day)." After two weeks, I'm highly skeptical, however, I submitted the form, nonetheless. Today is September 9th, and as a last resort, I've emailed their general and business inquiries account, info@medicine-encompassed.org, however, I know I won't receive a response. This is disappointing, coming from an organization with high-standing. I discovered Medicine Encompassed through my school's College and Career padlet, and I expected at least an email back, letting me know my application was received. I haven't heard a single word. I believed they were a hard-working group of driven students, however, now I'm starting to question their legitimacy.
Medicine Encompassed has allowed me to gain and hone my skills, it has also allowed me to grow as a person. Working with so many like-minded peers allowed me to challenge myself to become better - academically and personally! This organization also helped me find new passions such as writing and graphic design. Additionally, I also gained connections with many like-minded peers, who helped me improve. This has helped me step out of my comfort zone, and voice my opinions on topics that matter to me. Medicine Encompassed has an amazing mission, and assisting that mission has been one of the most wonderful experiences in my life!
I joined Medicine Encompassed in summer of 2020, and I've loved every moment of my work with them so far. We've truly formed a global community, and I've personally met so many other passionate, dedicated students who also want to foster meaningful change. Our work is detailed, meticulous, and we have so many fun initiatives that aim to increase medical literacy and interest. Joining Medicine Encompassed was one of the best decisions I've personally made, and I can't wait to continue my work with them in the future!
I joined Medicine Encompassed as a writer in late June 2020, the month that they had first started up. From then, I've watched this NPO grow as I've made my way through the organization and eventually became a part of the Board as President, as well as a committee lead. I've met so many awesome people along the way and learned so much more about oncology, a field that I strive to pursue in the future. I'm so grateful for ME and am so happy to be a part of it:)
Being a part of Medicine Encompassed has been an amazing opportunity for me to improve my skills and develop a better understanding of the medical field as a high school student. I truly enjoy working with likeminded individuals who are very hardworking and passionate. Through a variety of initiatives that Medicine Encompassed proposes, I have learned an immense amount about the medical field and I have improved important life skills including leadership and teamwork. Whether it may be the organized structure or even the inclusiveness of the non-profit, I always feel welcomed and appreciated! Applying to Medicine Encompassed was one of the best decisions I ever made! After searching for ways to get involved in STEM as an eager and passionate student, I was overjoyed to stumble upon Medicine Encompassed last year. Not only is Medicine Encompassed a spectacular organization, but its diverse, inclusive community of like-minded students makes it even more awesome! Medicine Encompassed was the first STEM-related opportunity I got involved in and it opened my eyes to the medical field. Starting out as an editor, I was exposed to a lot of medicine-related information and when I was promoted to a leadership position, not only was I excited to gain leadership experience and continue to learn more information, but I was also able to make a larger and more direct impact. I have been a part of Medicine Encompassed for nearly a year now, and I'm still constantly getting impressed by all the new amazing initiatives that continue to bring the organization closer to achieving its mission.
Being a member of Medicine Encompassed has been such an amazing way to meet like-minded people and gain insight into the field of medicine! With hundreds of members all around the world and countless initiatives, Medicine Encompassed has provided me with tons of opportunities to network, to learn more about my interests in medicine, and even to shadow professionals in the field.

I joined this nonprofit as a general member back when it first got started last summer and I have had a great experience being a part of its amazing community. Everyone is very welcoming and understanding and I'm so happy that I joined this organization. In the short time that I've been part of this organization, it has already launched so many initiatives and made such a big impact. Seeing how far this organization has come in the past year, I am so excited to see what the future holds for Medicine Encompassed.
I joined Medicine Encompassed as a cardiology editor and a member of the Sponsorships and Partnerships committee during the organization's first days. This nonprofit has opened a multitude of opportunities for me. Eventually, I became a member of the Human Resources Department where I interviewed and met a lot of enthusiastic members. These members have transformed Medicine Encompassed with their amazing medical articles and resources in their respective committees. Their work became a repository of resources that students interested in STEM could access for free. (Check our website!) Currently, I produce newsletters and have seen how Medicine Encompassed progressed and flourished since its inception. I am still astounded by how people from around the globe "gathered" together virtually and make such a great impact on our community.
Most importantly, the Medicine Encompassed community is SO supportive and welcoming. I cannot emphasize this enough. Definitely recommend joining!
Medicine Encompassed is an amazing non-profit with many initiatives and opportunities for its member. Ever since joining the organization since it first started, I have been very impressed and admired at how well organized and professional it is. I found Medicine Encompassed on Instagram in July of 2020 and after learning about its inspirational mission to provide medical resources and opportunities to people across the world, regardless of socioeconomic or ethnic background, I decided to apply as a board member. I am so glad and fortunate that Aliza and Gael decided to appoint me as an executive member of the organization since its inception! The organization boasts a community of understanding, kind, and supportive members and leaders, some of which have become close friends. Aliza and Gael continue to amaze me every day with their accomplishments and leadership, and the organization itself is full of leaders who are diligent and committed to making a difference in the field of medicine for other teens like us.

It has given me valuable leadership skills, more opportunities to expand my horizons in the neurology field, the ability to present valuable information to other schools, and camaraderie that is rarely found anywhere else. Our members truly elevate this organization to another level with their hard work and dedication, and they inspire me each and every day. I've never been a part of such an inspiring community, and I am honored to work with Medicine Encompassed. The sheer passion that the people in this organization have for medicine and changing the world of medicine is remarkable, and the way that we inspire and work with each other to become the best future health professionals that we can be makes me so incredibly happy to have joined this organization. Medicine Encompassed is the best nonprofit for anyone interested in medicine! No matter what your skills, interests, or talents are, there is something there for everyone. Ever since I first joined the team, the organization has not stopped serving, teaching, and growing. Initiatives from the Mentorship Project, where high school students interested in medicine can receive guidance in their careers, to Project Cultivation, where members will share the organization mission by teaching in schools across the globe, clearly demonstrate the love and determination to serve that the team has. But the people are what makes the organization more than just its amazing opportunities: in every step of the way, the members and directors alike are always there to support the rest of the team. Medicine Encompassed’s unique goal to foster a safe and supportive environment for future medical professionals distinguishes it from any other. With a multidisciplinary approach to bridging the gap between the complex medical world and the general public, the team serves every community and offers everyone an opportunity to learn more about what medicine truly encompasses in a way no other has done.
I haven’t been a part of the team at Medicine Encompassed for too long but my favorite part of being in the team is the amazing work culture. It’s a super easy-flowing environment that really considers and accepts everyone. I feel so comfortable talking to my team and I never feel like I’m crushed under any sort of “hierarchy”. Every person in the organization is so, so helpful, collaborative — and most of all — super passionate and enthusiastic about working together! Joining Medicine Encompassed has definitely been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I can’t wait to see what the future will hold for Medicine Encompassed!!
Becoming part of Medicine Encompassed was a decision that connected me to a network of hundreds of students interested in medical sciences spanning the planet. Apart of this registered nonprofit, I've been able to grow through leadership opportunities in medical research and become connected to several medical professionals in their field. Being apart of their ever-growing team, I've grown my communication and collaboration skills while working on oncology, cardiology and surgery committees that focus on all-encompassing aspects of the area. Overall, Medicine Encompassed is an incredible nonprofit that I am proud to say I get to be apart of.

I joined ME during the pandemic last year in Grade 10, initially hoping to find out if my passion for medicine was strong enough for me to make a career out of it and while I have answered that question, I also have been able to join such a great community. It is so incredible, nearly 500 people from all around the world with the same end goal all supporting each other is so rare. The constant and consistent outflow of work never fails to surprise, everything is so well written, produced and comprehensive. As the Co-Executive Graphic Designer, I love that I get to combine my passion for the arts with STEM, something that is so important for STEM driven students today!
During the beginning of quarantine, it was almost impossible to gain volunteer hours. I looked through google and Instagram for hours, hoping to find an organization that I would fit into. I then came across Medicine Encompassed and it exceeded my expectations, I loved both the mission statement and the overall structure. I've had such an amazing time being a part of this great organization filled with such like-minded people. I've not only been able to gain volunteer hours but I've grown my knowledge in medicine, meet amazing people, and be a part of a close community. This past year Medicine Encompassed has grown in numerous ways and I can't wait to see it grow even more.
Medicine Encompassed is such an incredible organization! The slack team with 400+ is so inclusive and caring that working with everyone is truly amazing. Even though it is virtual, everyone gets to feel welcome, appreciated and an equal member of the team. The work and continuous flow of new activities, initiatives and projects are very exciting. I was able to join so many different committees that I am passionate about and enjoy learning about. If you are interested in the medical field you are bound to find a committee that you are passionate about learning more about. I earned volunteer hours, learned so much and got to work with wonderful people. During the pandemic, it was hard finding any medical opportunities as a high school and when I found out about Medicine Encompassed it was better than I could have ever imagined! I currently have 2 leadership roles being a guidance coordinator and an initiative coordinator that I enjoy having and working for. Medicine Encompassed truly is a fantastic organization that I love being a part of. I am fortunate to be a part of this organization and cannot wait to see what's next and all of its future accomplishments.
Being a member of Medicine Encompassed's Board of Directors has been a rewarding and unique experience. Our direct impact on students' lives through comprehensive medical education has been eye-opening. This organization has been an incubator for some of the greatest minds in the rising generation of prospective medical professionals. Through the diverse community that Medicine Encompassed provides, I have been able to meet people from all over the world, a true learning experience. This organization is a catalyst for innovative views, and I'm grateful to be a part of it!
I began working with ME during the pandemic last year. As someone that has wanted to pursue medicine since I could write, this seemed like the perfect organization to put my desires to real action, especially considering lab/volunteer closures from the pandemic. I was able to begin writing articles for Pediatrics, Osteology, and Surgery, gaining volunteer hours and lasting knowledge. I worked my way up to becoming the leader of a new committee, Anesthesiology, and a member of two board committees! Aliza and Gael are wonderful, understanding, organized and motivated people! Any issue, they will resolve it in a way that provides a win-win. This nonprofit not only increases the general public's knowledge, but we help educate K-12 schools, expand awareness of issues like mental health in the pandemic and medicine, and bring in talks with experts in their fields to continue learning!
Medicine Encompassed has truly been rewarding in so many aspects and I’m sure many of it’s fellow members would agree. From enhancing our comprehension of the medical field and gaining insight on the specific medical specialities in the healthcare industry through the Medical Committees it offers, I’ve been able to gain so much from just this one Organization. The community has also been so supporting through it all, adding onto how rewarding it is to be apart of this organization we like to call a family.
As a podcast initiative co-lead, I've had a great experience with Medicine Encompassed! I was able to combine my own love of podcasts and audio-editing hobby with my passion for medicine, all within a passionate, fun, and super organised youth-led organisation.
My experience at Medicine Encompassed has been better than I could ever imagine! As a high schooler who aspires to go into the medical field but lacked experience and had trouble finding medical opportunities during the pandemic, ME provided me with the opportunity to continue working towards my career goal. Not only does ME offer a wide array of medical committees to fit each and every person's interests, it also continues to spearhead many medical initiatives that each help develop your skill sets. In addition, I absolutely love the community that ME fosters - the genuine passion that each member has for medicine is so inspiring to see, and everyone is so friendly with each other, automatically making you feel welcomed into the organization. ME has already made a huge impact in STEAM for the rising generation, and I can't wait to see what ME will accomplish in the future.

I love how they’re able to prioritize both the work output and the well-being of members, which is always important in the medical field. The atmosphere of the organization is so positive, and it is clear that every member is set on making an impact through all of our efforts! I love Medicine Encompassed so much! Joining the nonprofit was definitely one of the best decisions I've made; being able to join a community of like-minded individuals has been so amazing. The community is incredible. Everyone is so loving, supportive, and caring. Everyone wants everyone to succeed, which is something that I think is amazing with a field that is as competitive as the medical field. Being able to talk to everyone about work related things and non-work related things is what makes the nonprofit so special to me. Additionally, the community is so collaborative and everyone is willing to be flexible in all situations. I've been able to get along with everyone so well, and I know that by joining this nonprofit and by being on the board, I have created relationships that will last forever!
