Mission: Medical services bureau, inc. (the organization) provides access to prescription medications and diabetic supplies, and prescription eyeglasses and referral for low-cost eye exams to qualified clients. Qualified clients are individuals, families, children and (cont. ) seniors who live or work in sedgwick county, have no prescription insurance or qualify for any government program, and live at or below the proverty guidelines established by the federal government. The services are provided through two different programs; the voucher program and the prescription drug program.
Programs: The voucher program provides limited emergency funds yearly through vouchers to qualified clients for prescription medication and diabetic supplies, low-cost eye exam referrals, and to purchase prescription eyeglasses.
the prescription drug program is a service that completes applications to pharmaceutical companies for a brand name medication. The client receives the medication free from the pharmaceutical company. Because the prescriptions are provided directly to the client, this amount is not reflected as revenue or expense on the organizations financial statements. The value of these prescriptions donated by pharmaceutical companies to the organizations clients during the year was approximately $753,000.

As a former leader at this Nonprofit, I saw firsthand the effect that this organization has on the community. Helping the most underserved population with lifesaving prescription medications and eyeglasses. The staff serves with empathy and kindness. They take the time to listen and really assist with individual needs. I was sad to have to move away and leave this organization but am happy to have watched from afar to find that they are even better today than they were when I served with them So proud to have been a part. All my best for continued success in it's 87 years!
Medical Service Bureau has been a god send to hundreds of under insured and medically under served citizens in Sedgwick County, Kansas. I have been aquatinted for several years with this wonderful organization and have observed how they have assisted many who could not afford eyeglasses and prescription medications. The kindness of the Executive Director Rosa Molina is the force behind the caring and assisting of these very needy recipients. She shows individual compassion and makes sure that her staff does the same. She works endless hours to make sure that she has funding, which has been very limited and works very hard to assist her clients not just with MSB provides but with information about other organizations services that her clients have a need for. I am proud to know Rosa and to support MSB, I hope you will too.
