Mission: Flying Doctors was founded in 1989 by Allan Gathercoal to bring hope and healing to the world's poor. Over the past eleven-years Flying Doctors of America has successfully flown scores of medical teams throughout the world. We have brought hope and healing to tens of thousands of impoverished men, women and children.
Our medical/dental missions span the entire globe, but Latin America has received much of our attention.
The most heart wrenching team experience was when orphan children, who lived on the street, would come to us needing medical/dental treatment. We would care for their battered bodies, only to watch them slip out the door and return to living on the streets.
