Mission: The organization's mission is to provide services to hopkins and webster counties as well as the surrounding areas. The mission statement is "excellent care, every time. " the organiztion also provides no cost standby ambulance services at a variety of community events, and hosts numerous educational events to conduct first aid and safety demonstrations.
Programs: Revenues recognized and expenses incurred while providing ambulatory services to residents of hopkins and webster counties and other persons requiring such services. Mcas also provides transportation services to other areas through reciprocal mutual aid agreements with all surrounding counties. Mcas provides service for the county coroner as well as for raids conducted by state, city, and county law enforcement agencies. Mcas provides services to our military with medical standby coverage for nighttime parachute jumps conducted in our county during training exercises for ft. Campbell soldiers. Mcas also provides medical standby services for physical fitness training tests for the local law enforcement and fire services. Mcas transports county prisoners at no charge to the county. During 2011, mcas performed 4,316 emergency runs, 3,553 non-emergent, and 1,602 other runs. Mcas contributed no cost stand by services at a variety of community events including high school band festivals, local high school and middle school football games, friday night live events, relay for life, hopkins county fair, and many others. Mcas hosted numerous educational events including visiting schools within the counties to conduct first aid and safety demonstrations. Mcas personnel taught cpr classes to the staffs of area dental clinic and physician offices, along with students of local high schools. Several employees serve as advanced cardiac life support instructors for groups of medical professionals.
