My husband was looking for a pit bull type dog rescue. My "Chai" passed from oral cancer recently and I knew I wanted to rescue another pit. He came across Mecca's rescue. I saw "Rufus" and I knew I wanted to recue him. I started going on Meccas fb page and could tell the passion and love she has for the dogs in her rescue. Not only does she rescue but she is also a trainer. It takes a special person to do what she is doing. He has been with us since Saturday and this dog is awesome. So sweet, silly and energetic. We can tell that Mecca worked with him and trained him. I feel so lucky that we came across Mecca's rescue. Highly recommend her. Tricia Hutchison

Mecca is always there helping me with my 2 dogs while I’m working and also spends time in training sessions with them.
She saw one of my dogs with a black mole and actually took it away and made sure my dog was safe!!

First saw Meccas rescue page last summer and started following In November 2018 we lost our 8yr old pit mix rescue due to cancer. Follow quite a few rescue/adoption pages and kept seeing pics of this cute black and white little man on Meccas rescue page. Wasnt sure if we were ready but asked if we could meet him. Mecca brought him over and he stole our hearts.We noticed his eye looked a little red Mecca immediately called vet to set up appt for next day In that short time the eye infection became life threatening and more than we could handle at that time. Mecca (along with the vet and help from generous donors ) nursed him back to health. Fast forward to today Midas is happy and healthy and in his forever home with us. So grateful for this rescue and everyone who helped this sweet handsome boy! Also happy that Mecca will continue to work with us to help him be the best dog ever!

After our first rescue-adopted dog died, we immediately knew we wanted another Pittie. We found Cain on a pit bull rescue website and contacted Mecca. She was very honest about the dog’s history and very thorough. We eventually decided to adopt Cain. We love him so much and he is everything she said and more. I fostered a very special pitbull for Mecca. Had him several months. Mecca came to my home daily to make sure that my little buddy learned what he needed to learn to find his new forever home. She showed much patience with him during the time she was training him. He did VERY well with his training. She is a wonderful/caring person with so much knowledge , patience, and love and continues to educate herself. During the time I was fostering, I got to know Mecca well. She is all about helping and being an advocate for dogs who have no voice. Today, my very special fostered pitbull has been adopted , it is because of Mecca and her passion for this breed. I met Mecca years ago on a site regarding pitbulls. We of course became friends. Through those years Mecca has taught me numerous things. She's full of knowledge, loves & above all understands our very misunderstood breed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mecca
I met Mecca years ago when I asked her to help me with a rescued pitbull that my niece brought here because he was tied so tight to a tree in someones front yard that he couldnt move or sit. Her passion has always been to help this breed and teach people. I've asked for her help numerous times and shes always been there for me! We need this rescue in Sheboygan.
