I would really like to see a push for improvements. A dietician to help plan menus that would be good tasting and healthy. A move away from prepackaged foods that are usually high in sodium and sugars. A cooking area so food is prepared onsite. Options for people with dietary restrictions. (Gluten-free, sugar free, etc).

We have a registered dietician approved menu. The foods are not high in sodium or sugar. We do have a cooking area but currently it is less expensive to have to meals prepared off site at the hospital. Hopefully we can offer alternatives in the future if we can get funding levels up.
I've has been volunteering with this wonderful organization for almost 4 years. Everyone is very helpful. I get a great sense of satisfaction by helping others in our community. the clients are very appreciative and benefit greatly from this program
The facility, faculty and volunteers go above and beyond. They are not just providing meals to our homebound seniors, they are checking in then. This was essential especially during the pandemic it was a life line for those who have no one else checking on them.
I have known Kim for many years and had the honor to volunteer with her. She has made the senior campus so welcome to our seniors in the community. Alot of activities to do during the week to keep the seniors active. Come and see what is going on at the senior campus you won't be disappointed. I also lead a Tai Chi class on Wed at 9 AM and service on the Meal on WheelsBoard of Directors.
The meals on wheels program is very good very versatile good meals, we enjoy them when we go to the senior center. Very nutritious and great staff and volunteers to help everybody out they're awesome and always a smile for you
I volunteered to help at the front desk. My duties are greeting people as they come in and providing information about different activities. I also answering the phone and checking people in if they want to eat. I enjoy seeing and making new friends.
Meals On Wheels touches the lives of our most vulnerable population; Senior Citizens. It is a light in the darkness providing basic human needs of care, compassion and nutrition. Some seniors are home bound with out connection to family or community. Meals On Wheels not only provides a meal but valuable human connection.
This is such a great non-profit. Kim always goes out of her way to help those in needs. Many of the clients that receive meals on wheels are unable to leave their homes and many have no family. The volunteers not only deliver meals but also give treats to pets and deliver diapers from the essential room to those who need them.
