I have been a proud member of Mcpaws Regional Animal Shelter right from the beginning
We have found or returned home hundreds of animals over the years .
Provided good jobs for people in our community , a food bank to provide pet food for families
in need and a safe place for pets who have lost their way home.
We have come along ways over the years and it just proves what a group of concerned citizens can do to help better their community.

i was fortunate to of found my best friend Moose my 120 lb. Chesapeake bay retriever i was fortunate enough to adopt 4, years ago from Mcpaw's. They really do a wonderful job not only taking care of all the animals. And finding the perfect match of animal to adopter . It certainly was in our case we could not be happier.

I have been a volunteer with MCPAWS since 1997, when we first got started and have adopted all of my animals from there. I am very proud of what we have done since the beginning. Excellent caring staff, great safe facility and amazing volunteer program. Dogs and cats are lucky to come here.

They show so much love to the animals that are at their facility, and do their very utmost to match the animal with the right owner! They take their time and make sure it is a great fit for both.

Typing this review with a foster kitten perched on my lap...this organization goes above and beyond to help these little guys thrive and find homes, no matter how young they are when they come to the shelter. The staff truly care about these animals.

I have had the privilege of managing the thrift store that supports the animal shelter for four years now. I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful organization! The staff at both the shelter and the store are just amazing people and work so hard to ensure the continued success of our no kill animal shelter.

Very professional and hard-working staff and volunteers that truly make a positive impact to the cats and dogs in McCall and the surrounding area. Always greeted with a smile and a "thank you." I can't say enough about the huge impact they've had on our community.

Five Paws Up for McPaws!! This dedicated group of just a few highly talented paid staff and all the volunteers they can find put their hearts and souls into the welfare of animals in the West Central Mountains of Idaho. McPaws is a "no kill" shelter with the goal of providing a temporary healthy, enriched and nourishing home for pets while they await their permanent and loving home. Embraced by the rural area of Idaho they serve, McPaws leads with compassion for abandoned, surrendered and lost dogs and cats. Every pet deserves a happy, healthy home and the McPaws community works deligently to make that happen. This sanctuary leads with it's heart and the community and animals served recognize the love and professionalism driving McPaws day by day.

McPaws should be the standard for every animal shelter in every town throughout the nation. The organization and staff gives constant dedication, time and relentless energy to each animal, providing individual attention and concern. When I wanted to adopt Flynn, my cat, I thought McPaws was too protective, having me fill out paper work and "trying me out" with a foster care program before adoption. However, McPaws needed the assurance that I would bring him back for neutering and keep him inside until his maturity. The time never came as Flynn's male parts did not emerge, so McPaws did one last surgery to make sure he could not reproduce offspring. I've never heard of any animal shelter going to such lengths and, for that, I applaud everyone at McPaws for all their effort.

This is an organization with a huge heart and love for animals. One of the few “no-kill” shelters in the northwest. They operate a clean/Caring/class facility on a shoestring budget. The staff is dedicated to the health and welfare of the animals and being an intrigal part of the McCall Region.

MCPAWS is a fabulous organization! I'm so proud of the work that the staff and volunteers do in our community helping pets and the people who love them! I have adopted three MCPAWS dogs over the years and they are the best family members I could ask for.

I've been involved with MCPAWS for many years now and this organization is so very special to me! MCPAWS is the only animal welfare organization in the greater McCall area and they do everything in their power to make sure that each dog and cat that enters their facility receives the BEST care and outcome possible! But it doesn't stop there! MCPAWS also helps people within their community who also love their dogs and cats and want to prevent them from ever having to go to the shelter! They maintain a pet food pantry, low-cost spay and neuter services for individuals who can't afford to get those services otherwise, and they offer great advice about typical dog and cat behavior problems! MCPAWS realizes that the best place for an animal is at home so they do their darnedest to first of all, keep pets in loving homes, and if the animal has to come to the shelter, that they are happy and healthy while they wait for their new family to find them!

After a couple of years living in McCall I had the opportunity to volunteer by fostering litters of kittens in my home. The staff at MCPAWS made the process and experience as easy as possible by providing me with all the resources and supplies that I would need. While bringing the kittens back to the shelter was always a bittersweet experience, it felt good knowing that MCPAWS would find them all loving homes and provide excellent care for them until then. When you walk through the shelter it's easy to see that each and every animal is well cared for and loved. In my time working with them I've learned an extraordinary amount of information from the staff about animal behavior and care. MCPAWS is an amazing organization and I feel truly privileged to work with them.

McPaws in McCall, ID is a wonderful animal shelter. The staff is compassionate and they truly love all the animals that walk through their door. If an animal has to be a shleter animal for a while, they'd be lucky to stay at McPaws until they find their furever home!

2007 I met the man of my dreams at McPaws, Rex. He was a dashing red head with beautiful eyes and a let's run up this mountain spirit. So he came home with me. We've explored many a mountains and roads together over the last 10 years. He's 12 now and has a sister and that still let's go up this mountain spirit. He's my best bud. Thank you McPaws for taking him off the streets of McCall. We live in Texas now and love exploring the places here but will always miss the place we met.

My mother started volunteering at MCPAWS when I was young and she loved it very much. She still talks about it as one of the best experiences she has had. I used to go with her as a kid and "help" her walk the dogs. Two of our family dogs came from MCPAWS and they were some of the very best dogs we have had! MCPAWS is more than just an animal shelter, it is an organization that unites people around the shared goal of providing dogs and cats with the best care and love they can receive while waiting for their forever homes! The family tradition has stuck with me, and I am now proud to say I am part of the MCPAWS community of dedicated people working hard to save lives! MCPAWS is truly an amazing organization.

McPaws provides a great place for the stray and surrendered animals in this area. I have volunteered at the organization and the staff and other volunteers really care about the well being of all the animals. The best part, is that McPaws is a no kill shelter. I know that when I interact with a dog or cat, and they have not found their forever home, that dog or cat will be there the next week. The staff is fantastic working to make McPaws the best shelter it can be, and the volunteers are critical to McPaws success.
