I’ve been donating to Maya’s Hope for years and started volunteering my time to help out with its annual gala for the past two years. Every year involved has been better than the last! I love seeing the children and families that Maya’s Hope helps. This is a wonderful organization!

Maya's Hope has stayed resolutely on mission since before there was a charity called "Maya's Hope". At first Maya practically singlehanded went to Philippines and Ukraine to deliver aid to orphanages, and she hasn't stopped. Maya's Hope truly cares deeply about children in need and has marshalled forces over the years to bring critical surgeries, therapies, and supplies to poverty-stricken and war-torn areas. I am delighted to be a monthly supporter, and am always with Maya's Hope in spirit on its worthy goals.

I stumbled across Maya's Hope while looking for volunteer work as a photographer back in 2016. I fell in love with the organization and its mission to help orphaned, impoverished and special needs children across the globe. After getting to know Maya, her story, the successes and even the tragedies, I'm always in awe of her steadfast dedication to each and every one of these children. Maya and her team are exceptional in their work and lead with love, care and kindness.

I first met Maya through a Craigslist post looking for volunteers to help kids in Ukraine and the Philippines. Since I’m part Ukrainian and Filipino myself, the cause really resonated with me, so I decided to get involved. I had no idea at the time just how much of an impact this organization would have—not just on the kids we were helping, but on me too.

Back in the early 2010s, it was just a small operation—literally packing up clothes in Maya’s NYC apartment. But over the years, I watched it grow into something truly incredible, touching so many lives along the way. It’s been amazing to see how much good can come from a simple idea fueled by passion and kindness.

On a personal level, I also gained a lifelong friend in Maya. She’s like a big sister to me, and I’m so grateful to have been part of this journey from almost the very beginning.

If you’re looking for a way to give back, I can’t recommend this charity enough. As Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Being part of this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

This organization is led by an amazing, driven, and selfless group of individuals. To provide basic necessities for children who are in extremely difficult circumstances. I have seen first hand how tirelessly the staff and volunteers work to help as many families as possible. Maya's Hope has provided aid to families in war torn Ukraine, and the impoverished families in the Phillipenes. Where basic necessities are much too difficult for some families to afford. Because of this organization, more children were given the chance to have a better and more fulfilling future. A future filled with hope, promise, potential, and happiness.

There are so many nonprofits doing great work, but Maya's Hope is truly strategic and effective when it comes to ensuring the $$$ and goods donated go directly to their mission - directly helping orphans, specifically children with medical needs. As someone who has worked with many nonprofits, I am so impressed with the direct impact Maya's Hope makes in the lives of the kids it serves. Keep up the amazing work!

I have been a volunteer for Maya’s Hope since 2024, and I have also donated to the foundation. I was first drawn to the organization through a shared post about Maya’s Hope by one of my good friends, Myra, who is also a volunteer. I thank her for introducing me to this amazing organization and this group of people who work miracles for families. I would definitely recommend supporting this organization to anyone.

I am always looking for ways to give back and felt that I would be a good fit as a volunteer for this organization. With that being said, I absolutely love being a volunteer and working with the team—it feels like a family. I feel very honored and privileged to have the opportunity to help and to work alongside people who are incredibly passionate and dedicated to supporting families and their children, especially those in the Philippines and Ukraine. Everyone is hard-working and each person puts their heart into what they do. I am continuously inspired by everyone on the team, especially Ms. Maya, who dedicates endless hours to helping families and children. She and Ms. Ollie give their time, energy, and effort to guide everyone in a positive and welcoming environment. They go above and beyond, always striving to improve the organization and make things more efficient. These two individuals are not only understanding and approachable but are also always willing to answer questions. As a volunteer, your input and suggestions are recognized and valued. They are, simply put, incredible people—essentially superheroes in my eyes.

As a volunteer, you also gain insight into what goes on behind the scenes. I have the opportunity to communicate with and get to know these families. I love hearing their stories and checking in with them—you form real connections and relationships. This work is deeply personal and heartwarming. Families are provided with basic necessities such as food, diapers, medicine, and water. Children in dire need of proper nutrition bounce back, improve, and grow. Others receive assistance with education or life-saving surgeries. Some families may simply need advice or guidance, and there is always someone there to listen. The organization does everything it can to help. The successes of these families are documented for everyone to see, with records and reports ensuring transparency. Donations go directly to helping the families, and there is constant communication. You truly witness the positive and life-changing impact of Maya’s Hope—it is nothing short of amazing and inspiring.

I have volunteered for many programs and organizations since I was a child, but none come close to Maya’s Hope. This is the kind of organization where I want to volunteer and help whenever I can because I wholeheartedly believe in the cause. There are opportunities to help in different ways. I truly applaud and thank everyone who makes this organization what it is. I hope it continues to grow. There is so much love, care, and attention poured into the work—it’s contagious and awe-inspiring. The cause is incredibly important, and being part of this community is a deeply rewarding experience. It reminds me that the fulfillment of knowing I’ve helped in making a difference in someone’s life holds far more value than any amount of money I could ever have. Get to know the foundation about 10 years ago, first as a volunteer, later as a partner. Amazing support, honest interest to every person they try to help, inspiring dedication to what they do. When I first saw Maya i was surprised how she can be such tender and friendly woman to people she help (overcoming all communication barriers) and strong warrior (when she has to protect childrens rights for care). I really like the way organization supports each individual, with respect and empathy to their stories.

Over the past few years, I have moved all of my charitable giving to Maya’s Hope, because of the unmatched transparency and communication of this wonderful organization. Maya’s Hope thoroughly researches requests for financial assistance before sharing a case with its supporters and makes public its vetting process so that donors can feel comfortable that the needs are legitimate. I continue to sponsor two children through Maya's Hope's Sponsor a Child program, and my experience remains incredibly fulfilling. One of the children faces medical challenges; he needs ongoing support for nutrition and medication. The other child demonstrates remarkable educational potential despite coming from a financially disadvantaged background. Maya's Hope consistently keeps me informed about their progress and well-being, fostering a strong bond between us. Finally i have found a non profit that not only helps children, but gives 100% of my funds to them. I’ve dealt with other charities in the past that claim to help kids but then my donation somehow doesn’t actually make it to the kids or a very small percentage is given to them. I try to find meaningful ways to give back to my home country and I was super fortunate to find and be able to volunteer (as a translator) for Maya's Hope. Maya and her team work hard to help children and their families in need of basic care and medical expenses. Everyone, especially children, should have access to daily necessities like food, milk, diapers, medicine, clean water, and so on. My own hope is for them to provide so much more to families in need in the Philippines in Ukraine. Maya's Hope is a worthy organization to support, may they keep growing and expanding!

I have been a volunteer in Mayas Hope for the last 8 months. Its an amazing organization managed and directed by very committed, hard working, determined people. I have witnesed first hand how many children and their families have been positively impacted by this organization.

I love the community of volunteers and managers, everyone working for the organization is driven to uphold it's noble mission of providing assistant to families who are in urgent need. Maya's Hope has touched the lives of so many indigent families and their special needs children in both the Philippine and the Ukraine for over 10 years. Some of these families cannot afford the basics and the children would not have nourishing food, hygiene products and life saving medicines without the foundation's support. Each family is dealt with respectfully and with care. The foundation is responsive, transparent and reliable.

This is an effective, impactful, and transparent non-profit, with an amazing mission. To help children with special needs who are orphaned or impoverished.

The Maya's Hope Foundation provides emergency surgeries for children who have nowhere else to turn. In addition, Maya's Hope provides immediate needs in the form of nutrition, essentials, medical procedures, and equipment as well as medicines, therapies, and more. The organization also sponsors many school-age children to receive an education and provides vital supplies for orphanages in Ukraine.

This is a wonderful non-profit with great reach and efficacity. Money raised goes directly to the children. Every dime spent is documented and traceable, and there is a deeply visible impact - children return from the brink of starvation or death. I have seen this first hand. It is very rewarding to volunteer for this organization and of course, to donate when you can. Donations to this organization will save the lives of children in need.

I have been in Maya's Hope for few months now and I am amazed of how this foundation help kids improve their lives by providing their basic needs, medical assistance and surgeries. The selfless attitude and passion of Maya in helping these kids are very inspiring. It has been an amazing experience to be part of this team. A little part of my time as a volunteer goes a long way for the cuties.

I'm currently having my internship with Maya's hope. During this time, I really saw how they cared and tried to understand the families of the children that they are helping. They act fast especially in emergency situations and I can see how much it helped and saved these children. Additionally, you can really see how much the children have improved over months of help from Maya's hope.

I've been volunteering with Maya's Hope for a little while now, and it is eye opening to see first hand the impact that they have on the families they help. Everyone here has been so kind, welcoming and helpful. I am continually impressed by the work, effort and collaboration of this organization, and it is great to be a part of and learn from a team that truly cares about what they do!

I have been with Maya's Hope for almost 2 years and it's been one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had. Maya as a CEO is extremely passionate about her mission and the children that she's helping. She works tirelessly everyday to ensure that every child gets the support and love that they need, and for that, I'm incredibly thankful to be a part of this organization.

I volunteer for and donate to Maya's Hope because I have seen the evidence of the good we do for children in need--children who were starving, suffering from painful medical conditions, unable to attend school, and on and on. Maya's Hope has literally transformed lives. Maya's work is so important and so worthwhile. I am honored to help in a small way.

I first encountered Maya of Maya's hope fame several years ago via Facebook. I have since watched her tireless efforts to better the lives of the poor children in her purview through medical help, supplies, sponsorship for schooling, basically whatever is needed . Through all her life events she has continued to give 150% of her time and energy.i have nothing but admiration for her am happy to help in a small way to ensure her success!

Where do I even begin with Maya's Hope? It's been a truly amazing experience volunteering for such an extraordinary organization. Maya genuinely cares about each child in the Maya's Hope program and works so hard to make sure each one gets the treatment and the necessities they need. I'm so happy to be a part of the team of volunteers and am excited to see the charity grow!

This is not a faceless non-profit that sends a generic thank you email if you donate. It's a team and a family of donors and supporters with a mission to save children. They raise money for urgent surgeries in poor families, diapers, formula and caregivers for woefully underfunded orphanages in Ukraine, and so much more. You become attached to the kids they advocate for and are able to pray for them and follow their journeys. I'm very proud to be a monthly donor for Maya's Hope.

As a volunteer here, I mainly did research for the Lotus Ball Gala and occasionally helped out at smaller events. Through this experience, I was able to learn first hand the amount of effort and time spent on the small things that add up into one huge, amazing event. Maya (founder of Maya's Hope) has not only taught me new skills in using the computer, but also made me more aware of the hardships children face in other countries. Maya's Hope constantly aims to raise funds for children in need and while the amount needed to fundraise is a huge amount, this organization's persistence is advertising the need for funds allows it to reach those goals. Additionally, Maya's Hope also does small things such as provide Oreos for kids in countries who consider them an American treat. Through this, you can see that not only does Maya's Hope contribute huge funds that can save someone's life, this organization also contributes the little things that can make someone's day.

Through this non-profit many lives have been saved. Maya's Hope helps orphans in Ukraine and impoverished children in the Philippines. The extremely poor conditions in those countries lead to many children not getting the medical care they need and Maya's hope has been instrumental in getting those children some help. I know that when I donate to this charity - the money is going directly to the children's needs. Every Child has Value and Maya's Hope helps show that every day.

Maya's Hope is not only an amazing non profit, but Maya herself is even more amazing! Her non profit is everything to her and you can see that she truly cares about her cutie pies whenever she talks about them. I have had the pleasure of meeting Maya a few times and she is just as warm and caring as her posts on social media seem. She is a saint for what she does and never gives up on helping all of her cutie pies get the surgeries they need or getting adopted. She is such an inspiration to me! I can't wait to see what happens next for Maya's Hope!!

Maya, President and Founder of Maya's Hope, is an incredible leader. Fiercely passionate and unafraid to voice her opinions on important matters. She works incredibly hard to grow this organization and also practices what she preaches. Through Maya's hope My whole family and I have learned SO much about orphans in Ukraine. Maya, is the hardest worker and advocate for these poor children. She NEVER stops...ever, and thank goodness because these kids need her so much. Just seeing the progress these children have reached since she became a part of them is beyond amazing. She is TRULY SAVING LIVES!!!!!!

This organization has taught me so much about the subtleties and not so subtle foreign policies regarding impoverished children. The balance between awareness and affection that can alter and heal the darkest experiences a child may live, is a totally uplifting feeling. I encourage everyone to not only build and support their own communities but to also share in the experience of changing those communities that are far, far away. As a volunteer for this organization one can expect to build experience in event fundraising, public communications and awareness of global developments, foreign infrastructure groundwork and field work when necessary and above all continuing the growth of a true-to-the-word nonprofit.

I have chosen continued support of this nonprofit by sponsoring a child in the Philippines. This assures education and a healthier living environment for a child and her family. As a continued supporter I find that there are numerous ways to be involved, this is just one way that is the most convenient for me.

I found some of the more recent expansions of this nonprofit to be really interesting, which is a program that allows you to fund a caregiver in the Ukraine for bedridden children along with a massage therapy program for the most physically challenged. The results of these curriculum's are astounding. The children are psychologically and physically healthier, not to mention happier. The communications developed within the institutions are impressive, they include videos, photographs, mailings and donation shipments which allow me to follow the progress of the children and caregivers.

This nonprofit is based on the most dedicated and outstanding people, who lift my hopes as well as those who need it most. This is why I rated this nonprofit 5 stars, it exceeds my expectations of effectiveness on a daily basis.

Maya's Hope is a fantastic organization that does a lot of good for children that have no one to fight for them. These are kids who would otherwise be sick, bedridden, abandoned, and miserable. Maya's Hope helps secure medical care, provides education materials, and does whatever necessary to improve their lives. The organization is run by one of the most passionate and caring people you will ever meet. She really works tirelessly to try to make a difference. That's what has made Maya's Hope such an amazing organization.

Maya is a hard-working, dedicated young woman who is helping to provide love and support to children in orphanages.

She has helped provide additional caregivers in orphanages and these children are now able to do things we take for granted every day, like go outside. These children can now have therapies and massages (things that are very beneficial to special needs children).

I came to know of Maya's Hope through Reece's Rainbow. Maya's Hope helps children in the Philippines and in Ukraine, including special needs orphans in very great need. They do an amazing job with the money they raise. Bed bound children receive massage therapy, extra attention from well trained personal hired by Maya's Hope, and better nutrition and the progress are amazing. They also work to have children in the Philippines sponsored so that they may go to school and have life changing medical treatment etc.
They are honest, serious, very efficient and care very deeply for the children they help.
I would recommend this Charity anyday!
