Mission: The mission of maui aids foundation is to stop aids on maui, molokai, and lanai by providing prevention, care and housing services to those infected or affected by hiv, the virus that causes aids.
Programs: During the year, maui aids foundation provided an array of prevention, care and housing services to residents of maui county and housing services to residents of the neighbor islands who were infected or affected by hiv/aids. Services included case management, primary care access and affordability, emotional support, nutritional supplementation, rent support, targeted outreach, testing for persons at risk for infection and community-wide awareness-raising. 136 persons living with hiv/aids received care supportive services, 541 were tested for hiv and hep-c, and 96 persons received long and short-term rent support.
