I've been volunteering with Matthew 25: Ministries for over seven years. I started out by working about 16 -20 hours per week. Now that I've retired, I average probably about 20 hours per week , most of that by working from home due to COVID-19 since March. The work they do in helping the "poorest of the poor" and disaster victims is incredible. The leadership, staff and other volunteers I've worked with are very passionate about the ministry. I've also been a donor for several years. I like the fact that only a small fraction of their total cash and in-kind donations goes towards overhead and fundraising and that the rest goes into their programs. So if you are looking to support a great non-profit, either through volunteering or financially, I highly recommend Matthew 25: Ministries.
Sterling silver transparency ratings drew us to and continue to give us confidence in the effective operation of Matthew 25 Ministries. Our faith in this charity greatly increased when we visited their operation.
Their readiness to respond to any worldwide catastrophe impressed.
David & Barbara
Their motto “We care for a hurting world with the things we throw away”
Over the past several years I have been fortunate enough to see Matthew 25 Ministries “in action” serving the neediest among us. Whether it be serving a school district in West Virginia through a day camp and much needed building repairs, feeding and clothing children in an orphanage in Haiti, fundraising events or product hand outs of much needed items in these uncertain times-the mission is clear: serving others who need it the most is always first and foremost . I can think of no better worthy cause than that of M25M. They are a blessing to our community not only here in Cincinnati but worldwide. I feel blessed that my family and I have been able to do a small part and participate in the great things they are doing .
I began volunteering at Matthew 25: Ministries a few years ago and soon after applied for a job and began working there. Now, as a local singer in Cincinnati, I also recently partnered with them on a concert event raising awareness for COVID-19 safety, so I feel that I have first hand experience with how M25M works. The aspect that is special to Matthew 25 is the heart of its staff. Each member of the staff has a heart for the poorest of the poor and those in need all across the world. Their energy is spent on finding the most efficient and effective ways to help people in need while making real change in the communities they serve. Hand in hand with this personal service is professionalism. M25M knows exactly what their doing and executes their work in a trustworthy manner. I have full confidence that when I help out by donating my time (by volunteering) or donating my money, that it is going directly toward change.
I am an optometrist in the Cincinnati area. Several years ago M25M approached my partner and myself to travel to Haiti with them to provide vision care to people in and around Port-Au-Prince. We were accompanied by other physicians, volunteers, including my daughter, and staff fromM25M. The experience was incredible, but what impressed me the most was the relationships that the people from M25M had with the people of Haiti. The mutual love and respect for each other was so very obvious. Several months ago I was privileged to go on another trip. This time it was to a hurricane stricken part of the Bahamas and my son (also an optometrist) joined us on this trip. The overall experience was once again so great. M25M partnered with local churches to allow us to provide care to those in need. I never cease to be amazed how God has blessed this ministry, as M25M continues to care for people all over this world who are in need of help, when they need it the most!!
Matthew 25 Ministries has been such an influential partner with our non-profit, A Kid Again. A Kid Again serves children who have life-threatening illnesses and their families. M25M have graciously hosted our Holiday Party for the last several years, which is one of the most amazing events I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. This event is our family's top rated Adventure of the year. But it doesn't stop there. M25M also came to our aide during the recent Covid-19 outbreak and provided PPE supplies to our families with medically frail children who were in desperate need of such items. They continued their support of A Kid Again this year by becoming a sponsor of our new program, Adventures in A Box, that will provide our families hours of fun throughout the summer since we are unable to meet in person during these times for our normally scheduled monthly Adventures. Matthew 25 Ministries is there for our families through the good and the bad and we are forever grateful for their dedication and service.
M25M is an amazing organization, and I am very blessed to have worked with them on multiple occasions through medical Missions/disaster relief. They take great care of their volunteers and use every opportunity to show love and kindness to those in need. I have met and cared for so many wonderful people from around the world because of the work I have been able to do with M25. Apart from mission trips I have also had the joy of volunteering and participating in other events hosted by M25. The purpose of M25M is evident in the work they do for others.
Matthew 25 is amazing organization that serves locally here in the greater Cincinnati area but also all over the world. They have a stellar staff and teams of of volunteers who always put people first. Can't recommend them enough!
Matthew 25 is an excellent organization. They are always ready and willing to be a blessing to our world by sending supplies to areas affected by natural disasters, by participating in community aid and development across the world, by offering a recycling program and so much more. As a special needs parent, I love how they welcome and create an inclusive environment for all who want to volunteer. And they regular hold events that support support amazing charities like the annual 'A Kid Again' Holiday Party.
Matthew25Ministries helped our family in a time of need. They handed out essential supplies during the recent covid19 crisis, some of which were hard to locate even for purchase, and our family desperately needed. Our local news here in Cincinnati made an announcement that they were handing out the supplies, along with free lunch!
I’m so grateful for their generosity; the whole experience was uplifting for me and my entire family. During difficult times, such small gestures can have large impacts on a family, a community, and the world.
If you’re considering volunteering or donating to a worthy organization, I highly recommend Matthew25Ministries.
Matthew 25 Ministries in Blue Ash, Ohio is an amazing nonprofit organization!
Our community always comes together to volunteer for them year round, but especially when disaster strikes.
Wherever and whenever there are people in need, M25M is there to help.
Sending supplies to hurricane devastated cities and towns. Something as simple as clean clothes with Tide Loads of Hope is just one of many selfless labors M25M provides.
Even traveling abroad to poverty stricken regions to provide life saving vaccinations to those in need.
I have never seen severe weather strike, and not had an immediate response from the great people at Matthew 25 Ministries!
Thank you for all that you do!
I have never encountered a more dedicated group of professionals in my life. The work they do for people across the world is life changing. Not to mention how well they take care of local communities in times of crisis. M25 has the best employees and I’ve been fortunate to foster friendships with many of them. The work they do is inspiring and I’m grateful to be a part of it.
We have worked with Matthew 25: Ministeries for over 20 years. They are always a pleasure to work with and their passion to serve their community and beyond is inspiring. We are grateful for the opportunity to work closely together and value our relationship. Thank you Matthew 25 for all your good work.
We have worked with Matthew 25: Ministries for 15 years and I can personally attest to the incredible work they do with the poor and needy in the community as well as abroad. Our organization would not be able to do what we do without the love and support of Matthew 25 and for that we are forever grateful. It has been an immense pleasure working with and getting to know the incredible team behind Matthew 25.
Matthew 25: Ministries is a blessing to work with, from admins to logistics!
Matthew 25: Ministries is doing God's work each and every day to get needed supplies to those in need, recovering from some of our worlds greatest natural and human caused disasters to date.
Survivors are able to receive necessary items in rescue and recovery mode. Everything from cleaning supplies and diapers to blankets and medical supplies, thanks to the ongoing work and support provided by M25M.
Angels Among Us is honored to continue to work with such a pleasant and efficient staff.

Hello, my company volunteers at M25M about 4 times a year and I can speak to the validity of the operations of this organization. Everyone in the warehouse is "getting their hands dirty" packaging personal care items for Countries and US Cities in need. For example, we folded and packaged about 500 hooded sweatshirts for those in need over in Haiti last time we volunteered. This is an awesome charity if you are interested in seeing real, immediate results from your investment.
SOS American Foundation Inc. would like to express their utmost gratitude to Matthew 25: Ministries for the most positive experience of working together over the last 7 years.
Matthew 25: Ministries is an outstanding organization!
With their help we have been able to make tremendous contributions all over the world by delivering needed goods to the poorest of the poor. We have made great strides in helping these people have a better life.
As we worked together we have accomplished many goals and I am sure our cooperation will grow and strengthen in sharing God's love for the needy.
I had the privilege of attending a mission trip with Matthew 25 to Puerto Rico after the devastating hurricane in 2017. We were able to provide clinics and necessities to residents who did not have access otherwise. This organization was very organized and intentional with the efforts they provided. I am forever humbled from this experience with them. They are some of the most generous, caring, dedicated and genuine people I have had the honor of volunteering with. They are invested in providing aide to those in need not just locally but globally. Truly an amazing organization!
Matthew 25 recently helped my Hospice organization by donating 3 pallets of clothing, toiletries and bottled water to homeless seniors that we were assisting in partnership with a local hospital. We were so grateful for their help and so were the recipients!
I represent the Mason branch of my company, Cengage. in local volunteer efforts. Cengage employees of all backgrounds have been volunteering with Matthew 25: Ministries for a number of years and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience, staff, and good will of the organization. Matthew 25 continues to partner with us year after year and provide us quality information about their mission and events so our employees are always informed. I, personally, have not encountered a group with more enthusiasm for what they do.
Our company has sent several groups to volunteer with Matthew 25. Not only do they make you feel completely welcome, they show you how your contribution makes a difference and what they are doing for communities all over the world. We are so grateful that we have such a wonderful organization in our community. They really show you the importance of helping others and the impact it has.
I signed up to volunteer for Matthew 25 in 2016 and have eagerly chosen this site each year because of the impact it has not only in the Cincinnati area but around the world. Matthew 25 responds to natural disasters and provides aide to people who are not able to assist themselves whether it's a result of poverty or an unforeseen act of nature. I strongly support this ministry because Matthew 25 welcomes all and provides opportunities to everyone no matter there age, or physical ability. Service brings people together and it amazes me each time I volunteer because the staff at Matthew 25 proudly tell the story of how it all started with Rev. Wendell Mettey and mission his trip to Nicaragua. It took one man's desire to make an impact in one community that has essentially helped so many people all over the globe. It took one willing heart and a lot of faith to build Matthew 25 to where it is today. You can feel the same faith, and passion to make a difference in all of Matthew 25 staff and fellow volunteers. If you desire to share in on this vision and want to see and understand where your volunteer hours go to then I highly recommend you stop by Matthew 25, the staff will be happy to see you and they welcome everyone with open arms.
Bryan Smith (Cincinnati, OH)
Matthew 25: Ministries does amazing work around the world to help those in need, whether due to a natural disaster or areas severely impoverished. As our family hears stories on the news about neighborhoods hit by several weather, we know that the time we spent their volunteering will directly be helping those families. The staff that coordinates the volunteers couldn't be nicer and more welcoming. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for a nonprofit to support whether through time or donations that you support Matthew 25: Ministries and their great work.
Jennifer Michels, Volunteer
I have had the pleasure of volunteering for Matthew 25: Ministries through several different corporate organizations over the past 20+ years. Matthew 25: Ministries is special to me because they truly embrace a culture of service and humanitarianism. Touring their facility - or better yet - volunteering at Matthew 25 allows you to experience first hand the good they are doing for those in need. It is a world-class international relief organization. But I think that which enables Matthew 25 to stand apart from the multitude of other quality nonprofits is their people. From their volunteers, to their full time staff, and all the way up to their senior management and board of directors - Matthew 25 is represented by countless quality individuals who all share one common goal: to provide relief and assistance to those in need.
I have worked with Matthew 25 on multiple occasions helping thier emergency support team and they truly are inspiring and was so awesome teaming up with them. The work and help they provide is top notch. It was great to be part of such an amazing team of people driven to help .
Partnership With Native Americans has been working with Mathew 25: Ministries for roughly 20 years. Their organization is wonderful, second to none. They support our efforts as we serve the immediate needs on reservations we work. They are truly a blessing for PWNA.
Thank you, Mathew 25: Ministries
My 13 and 11 year old sons and I got the opportunity to travel with Matthew 25 to help the people of Haiti. This was both of my sons first time on a trip like this. What a great experience it was for them and for me. We were able to see firsthand the work that Matthew 25 is doing in Haiti. We were so thankful to be there and have the opportunity to play with the children in the orphanage, as well as help with hand-outs to some of the factory workers in the city.
During our entire time with the team, we felt very safe, and very wall cared for. The travel and lodging accommodations were very comfortable. The guides / guards were extremely friendly.
This is a trip that we will all remember for a long time. It really opened up our eyes to the living conditions of people in other parts of the world. It also got us excited to find additional opportunities to help the people in this world that are in need.
Thanks Matthew 25!
Belington Elementary would like to thank you for all your hard work. Belington Elementary School students came back to a beautiful building thanks to Matthew 25 and Volunteers.
A devoted, well-managed charity that I support financially and contribute my time when I can. Probably the best non-profit I've ever been associated wth.
I had previously dropped off donations to M25M but had never volunteered time until last Friday. My wife, Kathy, grandaughter, Loren Cook, and I worked about 4 hours helping sort and load donations bound for Hurricane Harvey victims. Loren has worked several times and wanted to help so Kathy and I decided to tag along. It was a very rewarding experience to say the least. Your leader employees were very professional and kind. Meeting other volunteers and people arriving with loads of donations was very exhilarating. We will definitely be back to help.
I work with a group of Cincinnati AARP volunteers. We help out once a month at Matthew 25 Ministries. From the moment you walk in the door, you can see they're doing great things.
We participate in a different activity each time we go. We've helped unload and sort donations for hurricane victims. We've sorted pill containers, clothing, food, household items, and more.
I know our contributions seem small sometimes, but each volunteer who works there is doing a small part to get food, clothing, medical supplies and other necessities to people who need them all over the world. #AARPCincyvolunteers
A wonderful organization that truly makes strategic decisions to help those in need across the world! I had the opportunity to work side by side the M25M leadership team during a recent mission trip to Haiti. Not only do they help provide the basic necessities for those in need, but also strive to develop individuals so they can make a bigger impact on their community. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to volunteer for such a worthwhile, impactful organization as Matthew 25: Ministries!
Recently had the amazing opportunity to volunteer with this group in Haiti. As a former social worker, I can tell you first hand that this organization focuses on working from the right end of every issue they tackle. Hand ups not handouts, job skills training, and a focus on accountability with every group they serve, are just a few of the ways this nonprofit makes real and lasting change. The scale and broad scope of their global impact is a testament to their effectiveness as an organization. It was an honor and a privilege to serve beside them.
Ever wonder where your items or money goes when you donate to a Charity? You can rest assured at Matthew 25 Ministries everything and anything you donate is utilized to help others. I was able to Volunteer in Haiti and see first hand the difference they are making impacting the lives of adults and children. It is a true blessing to be part of a Charity that lives up to it's name.
M25 is an amazing organization! I was recently lucky enough to spend a few days in Haiti with them as a volunteer. It was life changing experience, not only for me but for the children in the orphanage. M25 is giving these children the tools to create a brighter future not only for themselves but their community as well.
M25M embodies everything a non-profit should be! Totally devoted to it's mission to help the poorest of the poor it seems that everyone there - staff and volunteers alike gain real satisfaction in their contributions and greatly enjoy knowing the impact of their collective work. Over 99% of in-kind gifts of money and goods go to those it exists to those in need that it exists to serve. It is my non-profit of choice for donations as I know it gets applied as I would wish. Volunteering there, as we do, makes us feel like part of a caring family.
I have such a wonderful and empowering time whenever I'm there. It's amazing to see all the hard work the volunteers and staff put in and how far they reach out.
We are so glad and thankful to have the Matthew 25 program at Junior Elementary! The coats, camp, supplies, and work that was done this summer was amazing. Thank you so much for the impact you have made on our students and community!
I have had the privilege of volunteering with M25M at the warehouse, for the Kid Again party, and part of a Medical Mission Trip to Haiti and Puerto Rico. Every time I show up, I am greeted warming and feel appreciated for the time and job that I perform. I appreciate that at the warehouse I can bring my family to help serve as well. As a Medical professional I am able to participate in Medical Relief efforts and see first hand how they treat everyone with dignity, respect and compassion in their time of need. I have volunteered with many organizations in the past but I hope that I will be able to volunteer with M25M for many years to come.
They have provided supplies for our school and our families. This summer they presented a wonderful camp and the volunteers painted and helped clean up our school. Last week they came and gave each child in our school coats, hats, gloves and scarves. My kindergarten students could not have been happier. It was touching to see how much this gift meant to these five year olds. They provide a positive vibe when they step into our school. I appreciate their energy and selfless giving.
Matthew 25 has been a God send to our small school! They provided labor this summer as they helped us paint and clean (with our small staff, having their muscle was very important and time saving). They also ran a two-week camp which served many of our students in grades K-4; and our kids LOVED it!! Most recently, they delivered coats, scarves, hats, and gloves to EVERY child at Junior Elementary School. The coats were beautiful (an inside jacket to be worn on cool days and a heavier outer coat for cold weather). The scarves were hand made for EACH child. The hats and gloves are new and attractive. Each child in our school received the brand-new coat of their choice! These were not hand-me-downs, not used from Heart and Hand or the Salvation Army. I cannot tell you what a difference a brand new coat, hand made scarf, new hat and gloves makes in the life of a child who does not normally receive new items. Thank you, Matthew 25! Charla Reger, Teacher
Love the passion that this organization has to obey God's heart to care for the poor! My church volunteers here regularly, and I'm always grateful and blessed to be a part of this ministry!
Matthew 25 is a great ministry that helps so many. My daughter & I both really enjoyed volunteering & seeing everything that goes into their day to day & all they do.
This organization goes above and beyond in their commitment to serving those in need locally and globally. I am continually in awe of how many different ways they meet the needs of people around the world and also how they engage the local community. Their staff is very professional and personable and everything they do is done with excellence. I can't speak highly enough of Matthew 25: Ministries!
One of my favorite things about Matthew 25 is that they have an incredible impact both locally and globally. Their ministry is multi-faceted - they provide aid and relief in so many different ways and are always coming up with new methods to help people in need. From my experience, everything they do is done efficiently and with excellence. Their staff is passionate about their work and they do an incredible job of organizing volunteers in order to make an even greater impact!
I have volunteered with Matthew 25: Ministries since the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. I have had the privilege of serving as a nurse on the medical team multiple times since then.
I encourage everyone to donate, volunteer or work with Matthew 25 in any capacity that they are able. I can attest that 100% of the donations are used for their intended purpose.
I value that this organization assists both in the US and abroad.
I have personally witnessed orphans in Haiti flourish with proper housing, education, nutrition, health care and the like; all provided by the Matthew 25 staff and volunteers.
I consider donating and volunteering for this organization as some of the most fulfilling experiences of my life!
I cannot think of a better nonprofit organization than Matthew 25: Ministries. I had the honor of getting involved with this organization after the tragic earthquake in Haiti in February, 2010. Since that time, I have been an active part of their Medical Mission Team as a volunteer. I have been treated with professionalism and respect throughout all of my experiences. I have heard nothing but positive responses from other people who have had contact with Matthew 25 as well. I am most impressed by this organizations efficiency and ability to effectively use 99% cash and in-kind donations toward their programs.
Matthew 25 is top notch organization that continuously strives to help others. Matthew 25 provides support to the Barbour County School system in West Virginia. School supplies are sent to us several times a year through their organization. These supplies are greatly appreciated due to our low socio economic status. They also spent a week at Junior Elementary School making improvements to our school. A camp was held during that week that got students involved in academics and fun activities.
Matthew 25 was a blessing and invaluable asset to our school. The volunteers provided the students with a wonderful experience that they would not have had otherwise. In addition, the volunteers helped paint the school, as well as helped in other ways
Matthew 25 was a great asset to our school. They really engaged with our students. They made our school look beautiful with the work that they did on the building.
Matthew 25 was a blessing to our school. They connected to the students through a variety of activities they had planned. They provided lunch to students and all volunteers. Volunteers helped paint our school and boost the moral of our children, We couldn't have ask for any better for our staff and students. Loved working with them!!
Matthew 25 has been a great asset to our school. They boosted the morale of our school by school beautification. They provided our students a summer camp that provided them one on one attention and positive feedback.
Matthew 25 Ministries has been working with Barbour County Schools for years in rural WV. I have seen them personally touch lives of our Barbour County youth and families year after year. I'm a principal at a small, rural school that Matthew 25 visits. The work they do is God's work. They have helped us provide a safe and caring learning environment for students. The summer camp they put on with kids is top notch! I can't say enough for this wonderful group!
I have been volunteering at Matthew 25 for about 4+ years. My wife and I go every Friday and do whatever we are asked to do in support of their mission. Whenever possible we bring our grandkids. They love doing work that benefits those in need. It provides a life lesson and strengthens caring values. Last week when I was there I saw several kids, about 6 or 7 years old working with soaps. The joy on their faces was priceless. Every time I show up I am impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the work effort of them and the volunteers. Finding Matthew 25 was something I will be forever grateful happened.
Great Non-Profit organization that help many people. The staff that work there are friendly and helpful. There's a variety of different task that a volunteer can choice from. Just a great place for people who are looking to volunteer and help people in need.
Great charity - helping "the least of these". I have been involved with the Ministry for nearly 25 years.
I've been involved with Matthew 25 since the early 90's. I have organized volunteer workdays at Matthew 25 for over 20 years. i remember we were in a little building in Blue Ash then moved to what we thought was a much larger building in the Park 50 complex in Milford. This was just the first of many places we were in until we finally bought and refurbished the current location on Kenwood Rd. When we built our first facility on Loveland Rd in the late 90's, we no idea how we would ever fill it -- by the time we had it built we had out grown it! God has truly blessed this Ministry. You know when you go there that what ever you do, you are doing it for "the least of these" and that you are truly making a difference in the world.
I have been privileged to work with this loving organization for many years. Each time I go I am amazed at the positive, loving, caring difference this "mission" has on our world. It is especially gratifying to be able to,actually "work" here and feel part of the whole process rather than just writing a check.
I have worked here for years and it is the "best thing ever". I bring in donations from our parishioners (pill bottles, medical supplies, clothing, household items, shoes, leftover paint, etc). It has been a neat experience to find us using Rainbow Paint from M25M while on Mission trips in Jamaica!!! I usually volunteer once a week, meeting my sister who lives 30 miles away so we can "catch up" while we work. Once you come here, you are "hooked" on what M25M does for the world! I thank God for having given me the opportunity.
I have been working with Matthew:25 for over 15 years. The people who run this organization, the volunteers who give up their time and the friendships that have been made over these years has made a big impact on my life. I am always amazed at the scope of what Matthew:25 does. If you need help----they are there!
I have been volunteering at Matthew 25 Ministries several hours per week for almost five years. When I leave at the end on my volunteer time, I have a good feeling that I have helped a very caring and efficient organization. I have also enjoyed meeting other volunteers and the friendly staff at Matthew 25 Ministries.
M25M has proven to be a life-improving experience, not only for the millions of people who receive help/aid, but also for me, personally. In the act of volunteering once a week, I can witness the hours of labor that lovingly go into making this aid possible. In so many ways I, myself, benefit in sharing with the other volunteers, the mission of M25:M has laid out. I feel I have made another family here, especially with Lou, a very special family. I would encourage everyone to make time for volunteering at some point in their life!! It is SO worth it!
I first started volunteering because my golf buddy, Bob, and I were trying to find some new places to spend our time. Since one of our other golf buddies had an injury, our group could no longer golf. We tried local places like soup kitchens and helped restore some local buildings, but when we came across Matthew 25 Ministries we really liked what they do. They accepted all of us, no matter what religious background we had and they never pushed any believes on us. We really liked that. The best thing about them is that 99.9% of all donations go out and help people in need. I remember helping sort somewhere around 10,000 tuxedos and thought, what are they going to do with these? Shelly reminded me that in some countries it's really cold so they could really use the jackets to keep warm. I had never thought of it like that before. I also really enjoyed their Tickets The Radio Play performance, it was really funny!!
God has blessed me with a good life and lots of advantages. In addition to enjoying what I do at Matthew 25, I feel a responsibility to pay it forward to those who don't have as much as I do.
Sixteen years ago, my wife and I, both newly retired, were looking for location to volunteer. We tried M25M and stayed. The opportunity to serve to, to stay in Cincinnati and the people we met early on (Wendell and Anita), all contributed to our decision of volunteering. Of primary importance was the Matthew 25 parable, “what you did for these, the least of my brothers, you did for me.” My wife has since passed away; I have never regretted the decision we made sixteen years ago.
I love volunteering at Matthew 25 Ministries because I always have something to do. My most favorite person at Matthew 25 Ministries is Mary in station 1. She keeps me on my toes!
Matthew 25 does an amazing job of helping the poorest of the poor and those in need, after disasters - providing hope to so many people in many different countries!
By giving of your time, talents, prayers and donations, it's always an easy, awesome way to get involved - Both locally and globally.
I can't speak highly enough about my experiences with Matthew 25 - whenever I finish volunteering, I feel empowered and ready to give even more of myself.
Just returned from a mission trip to Haiti with M25. Couldn't have had a better time serving with friends at an orphanage and multiple medical clinics. I wouldn't miss this mission trip and will go whenever asked and however many times. M25 has done so much in Haiti since the earthquake and continues to do even more. I will continue to be part of M25 in any mission they need help whether here or abroad but most especially in Haiti.
I recently had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Haiti and can't wait to go back. What M25 does for the orphanage that we visited was tremendous and that's just a small portion of what they do there. The people they help, touch and minister to is more than I can put into words. I will continue to support M25 in every way I can and will continue to go on missions as long as I'm allowed to participate.
I first started coming to Matthew 25 Ministries in the fall of 2011. I was looking for somewhere I could serve the Lord by helping the least of these. After volunteering just one day, I knew I had found my place to serve the Lord. I am amazed at the work they do at home and around the world. I am amazed at the amount of donations they receive from large corporations. I'm proud to work for an organization that has consistently been rated one of the best non-profits. The amount of each dollar that goes directly to aid is astounding. I have made great friends during my four years there. I work on Station 4, and all of us ladies who work there care greatly for one another, and we care greatly about the work we are doing. Working in this environment can seem like abstract giving, but as I am folding, rubber-banding, packing each item, I try to think about the person who has nothing who might receive this item. It makes me smile. Once, I actually saw on the evening news from Haiti a dress that I had packed several of a month or so before. It was so exciting to see on television something that we were packing at M25M and now someone was proudly wearing that dress. I intend to keep working at M25M for as long as I can, doing as much as I can to serve those with the very least. This is great organization, made up of a great bunch of very dedicated people, both employees and volunteers. I am honored every time that I can go there to serve.
My mother in law (Betty Morgan) and I have been volunteering together at Matthew 25 for many years. We enjoy our time together and we have become great friends with many people who work and volunteer there. We are so glad to be helping this wonderful charity that helps the poorest of the poor.
After retirement I was looking for a way to give back to society for the luck that I had in raising my six kids. I worked for 41 years as a Bricklayer and instructor for our Local's Apprenticeship program. I wasn't ready to just sit in a rocker and quit and I had always made a deal with my maker to let me stay healthy and be able to raise my kids and provide for them as i thought necessary and I felt that I accomplished it, so now it was my time to pay back. I chose Mathew 25 to volunteer for because I had heard what a wonderful job they do for the people in most need. That my time w/ them would go for a good cause. I have enjoyed my 1 1/2 years that I've been volunteering there,I have met some wonderful people. Now my wife is retired and she too has begun to volunteer along with me.
