Mission: Matilda’s Garden aims to find loving homes for cats in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We are an all-volunteer foster-based non-profit cat rescue dedicated to helping area shelters achieve high live release rates, treating animals humanely and with compassion, and ending cat homelessness in north Texas.
Though we are a new organization, our board has a long history of volunteering in animal rescue in DFW. For over 25 years, we have independently dedicated our time to shelter and stray cat rescue, TNR, and community advocacy and education.
All cats adopted through Matilda’s Garden are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. We hold regular adoption events and offer meet and greets with our fine felines by appointment.
Matilda’s Garden is a 501(c)(3) non-profit approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, charitable organization. Your donations are tax-deductible. EIN 82-1974725.
The roleplay of Matilda's Garden is beyond any compliment. I am really grateful to them. Once a stray cat gave birth to 5 kittens in our closet. We didn’t know what to do. I called different organisation and animal shelters but didn’t get that much supportive response. But the way Becky from Matilada's Garden helped us, I cannot thank her enough. She guided me how to take care of them. Then she took the mother and kittens by herself after 5 weeks and fixed them. The kittens are now available for adoption and I adopted the mama cat. Becky also helped me to fix another pregnant cat later. Besides, few days back, a cat got trapped on rooftop nearby our apartment. Becky helped me a lot to rescue the cat. Whenever I face any problem regarding cat, I call Becky and she is always available selflessly. I am really grateful to Becky and Matilda's Garden for what they have done. I will definitely recommend Matilda's Garden over any other organisations.
