Mission: The Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE)is a private, non-profit agency founded in 1957 to find "a permanent place to call HOME" for special needs CHILDREN in foster care, who are traditionally harder to place. We do this by recruiting, educating, supporting and advocating for FAMILIES throughout the adoption process.
Results: So far, we've found adoptive homes for over 6,000 children - but hundreds more are waiting.
Target demographics: children and teens in foster care find the adoptive families they need
Direct beneficiaries per year: 178 children leave foster care for permanent families; we served over 750 children.
Geographic areas served: Massachusetts
