I have been a supporter of this organization for 10 years. I have worked with employees past and present. I have noticed that support for this organization has been falling off the past few years. I have begun working harder for the organization. they have had to downsize back to their core operations, which is shelter services.
this has upset people, but when its explained, we are there to give them shelter and counseling first, people understand it better.

Mission: To ensure safety, advocacy and independence for victims of domestic violence as well as to educate the community in breaking the cycle of abuse.
Programs: Provided shelter, food and other basic needs to indigient/abused women and their children. Provided shelter and assistance to non-emergency transitional cases and provided job skills training and basic educational needs to participants. Received the pickens county 2012 best nonprofit award.
