Mission: The maryland network against domestic violence is the state domestic violence coalition that brings together victim service providers, allied professionals, and concerned individuals to reduce intimate partner violence and its harmful effects on our citizens. Mnadv provides education, training, resources, and advocacy to advance victim safety and abuser accountability.
Programs: Training, technical assistance, and coalition building: trained domestic violence service providers, health care providers, victim advocates, and allied professionals. Coordinated and collaborated with public and private agencies and organizations. Provided a statewide helpline for victim referrals and a 24/7 language line for interpretation to allow professionals to communicate with their clients. Maintained a website and a facebook page. Published periodic e-newsletters.
law enforcement training: coordinated the homicide prevention demonstration initiative to implement the lethality assessment program (lap)-the maryland model in selected sites. Created, coordinated, and trained on the nationally-recognized lap in md and jurisdictions in other states. Coordinated the domestic violence fatality review team project in md. Trained law enforcement officers and other criminal justice personnel. Maintained and published statistics on domestic violence homicides.

legislative, public policy, and systems advocacy: educated policy makers and legislators about domestic violence issues.
